What is your opinion: is it better to do the ICO crowdsale or buy from bitrex?

It is better to buy from Bittrex.
The little detail is that it is not listed there Grin
Buying from ICO is a lottery, the price is higher than one at exchange in 9 out of 10 cases.

Is there an actual [ANN] thread for this ICO / coin?

You can find all the info you want at the official website https://eos.io/

The "altcoin" section of this forum has become a Trolling Shithole and it's geting worse by the day.

yup, I can understand why an ICO does not want to maintain a thread on bitcointalk...

I tried the slack, but it doesn't work. I wrote a message on facebook and I didn't receive any answer  Roll Eyes
I read the FAQ but I don't really understand (my poor english   Cool  )
So I would like to know, if today I buy some EOS Token (ico), when i'm going to receive the token in my myetherwallet ?
How many hours, days must I wait ?

The ico continue and some token are already in exchange via bittex or kraken ?
Thank You

Red flags
- it is located in the Cayman Islands
- Too much advertising
- Insane money being collected.

If you buy EOS through an exchange like Kraken do you have to keep there until the ICO is over like 11 months from now?  Or can you transfer it to a wallet off the exchange?

A week ago? Maybe you did it in the first week after the first 5 days were done when everything went crazy. From 2 to 6 token distribution was quite low. But after that you get at least 100 tokens/eth.

Better store them on MEW/Trezor.

1 Billion is a lot of fucking coins, and will pressure the price multiples of times lower as a result.

That's why this bullshit $1.90 EOS price during the ICO is just that.   Bullshit.  With this many coins, people need to be able to get at least 50,000 EOS to make any substantial profits, and that's impossible at this absurd fake price.

Agree!
On a separate note, Jeff Berwick just revealed on The Dollar Vigilante youtube channel that his pick for the next Ethereum killer is EOS. Will be interesting to watch price movement in the next few hours/days.

I would not trust that guy, he keeps bragging about how he made 15k in one post on steemit but considering he got upvoted by the founders with millions in steempower he is pretty much biased.

https://steemd.com/introduceyourself/@dollarvigilante/the-dollar-vigilante-is-now-on-steemit

Dan Larimer even mentions being a huge fan of his in the comments.

I am a fan of Jeff Berwick and heard the comments about the steemit posting and of Dan Larimer being a fan of his.

But he also had Tone Vay on his show and let him air his criticisms of steemit, bitshares and Dan Larimer. Tone Vays is quite an arrogant and ignorant person IMO speaking before he knows his facts. If you watch that interview you will see the same side of Tone as I did. You will also see that Jeff has an open mind and is not pushing steemit or EOS on his followers. Unlike many Youtubers who do nothing but pump their own investments

I still can't understand the economics behind buying the EOS token...

It's unclear whether future EOS backed ICOs will be done with the EOS token.

Happy to get some clarifications...

Hmm

from what i understood, you have to own EOS tokens on the EOS platform to have access to bandwidth proportional to your holdings.

A delegated POS also implies takers have to hold EOS

i also understood EOS is targeted enterprise use

If a large company, say Facebook, or Microsoft, wanted to use EOS for *some* unimagined application, they would have to buy and hold EOS to participate in the network.

I think this is one way EOS token will gain value.

As soon as one company announces it is building on EOS, token price might go up.

Please correct me if Im wrong.

OR

add more information

Ethereum is not sufficient to handle 95% of the existing ICO projects. I believe not only future ICOs, but also a lot of existing projects will be moved to EOS, and some other platforms.

I think the amount of people investing will drop over time, there are 2 million coins added to the market everyday. I really regret investing on the third day, lost so much money.

I also agree I got almost 40% more coins when i spent 2 Eth on Liqui than what I got for the same proportion from the ICOa couple of weeks ago.
