EOS tokens are already trading. Why would another 500 million be dumped in June 2018? If App-devs want to use EOS they need to stake these tokens in a contract. So when the system is about to go live they might wanna buy them because they need them to stake. Not to mention all the attention when the network is "about to go live". So with 1 billion tokens at 50 dollarcent the marketcap will be 500 million

in my opinion, Eos is a potential competitor to etherium . I don't think it's right to deny it.

It depends on the token will gives the airdrop for all of EOS holders, usually the token have done snapshot since couples month ago before the EOS blockchain was not launched, i think you must find the project of token on EOS platform which will gives the airdrop for EOS holders due to in my personal opinions it is late if you want get profit from EOS with method of search the airdrop for EOS holders.

Usually yes, the airdrop is for only for EOS holders in the early before the EOS blockchain is launched by community and today EOS blockchain has been launched, that's why many people who did holding EOS token, but i don't if you are following the other alternatives coins which be built on EOS blockchain will gives the airdrop due to many alternatives coins on EOS platform.

Anyone think there will be a big market for EOS names in the future? I’m aware of the premium names and how they work it will be interesting how much common names will go for but 1 auction per day it will take too long and people will start paying for 12 character names I’m thinking thoughts?

EOS.IO is software that introduces a blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications (the “EOS.IO Software”). This is achieved through an operating system-like construct upon which applications can be built. The software provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication and the scheduling of applications across multiple CPU cores and/or clusters. The resulting technology is a blockchain architecture that has the potential to scale to millions of transactions per second, eliminates user fees and allows for quick and easy deployment of decentralized applications. For more information, please read the EOS.IO Technical White Paper.

Website: https://eos.io/
FAQ: https://eos.io/faq.html
Whitepaper: https://github.com/EOSIO/Documentation/blob/master/TechnicalWhitePaper.md
GitHub: https://github.com/eosio
Telegram: http://eos.io/chat
Twitter: http://twitter.com/eos_io

This is really interesting, the only thing that we know that is permanent is change, EOS blockchain is actually taking over the cryptocurrency ecosystem,if it can actually process 1 million transaction per second then the sky is their limit.

I am in no way connected or affiliated with EOS or block.one. This has kind of become the thread for EOS on Bitcointalk, so I thought I would edit the OP with links and information. OP May 6, 2017:

It sounds like this is essentially Ethereum, but much more efficient seeing as though it has asynchronous processing of smart contracts.

https://steemit.com/eos/@dantheman/join-me-at-consensus-2017-for-the-eos-launch-party

He hasn't released many details yet, but I guess the details will come in after Coindesk's Consensus conference.

When do you guys think we can invest into EOS coin?
The price of EOS will going  down for coming next months or two months then we can invest i think. But you have to also study about it, before doing any investment.

eos price was low when crypto down last two month ago
i never thought that eos price was down to less then 5$ and then again the price is going up now
but maybe that could happen again because right now the price is 5.1$ and maybe the price go more down and we could buy more eos at the price of under 4.3 or 4.5$. if you are right then i will buy more

Good project. For me a succesful ICO is not only depending on the idea but also on the effort and in case of EOS you can see their effort in their github code. EOS is on my list and I believe in their project...even though their project already can be called a succesful one.

It's difficult to say. Larimer has built some great platforms in the past, but he has also scammed people in the past. I'd really hate to miss out on a successful launch of potentially the best blockchain project of all time, but I kind of suspect something about this is too good to be true. Ethereum was supposed to be a scam too, but it's second only to Bitcoin now.

What are you looking for? I have something interesting for you about the EOS
On Friday, September 8th, just before the CryptoLions team boarded a plane to return to Ukraine from a business trip to Germany and Amsterdam, they discovered the Jungle Testnet was down. Read the play by play and how The Jungle was recovered. - https://medium.com/@roar_65307/killer-whale-attack-recovering-a-hi-jacked-eos-chain-b61cae13cf31

Once again Cryptolions published their "CryptoLions Financial Disclosure - August"

https://steemit.com/eos/@cryptolions/cryptolions-financial-disclosure-august

I think that's good practice and for those who follow EOS that should be interesting to read this data
I'm happy that I had a chance to meet Cryptolions and I'll be following their events and development

The Hype is gone. It's the time of monkeys hammering code. A dull period in which the best things are devised. Just have patience.
