It is not community driven. Developers are paid in XFUEL, a token created on a not yet existing blockchain. Additionally they try to patent their technology. If this is going to happen, the Xtrabytes LTD will have a patent on their technology. This is far from being community driven since it is impossible then to fork the blockchain. The Xtrabytes LTD is a pure dictator then about implementing anything and the community can not change anything. Though it is highly doubtable a patent does really exist since there is no proof for more than half a year now.

True, but it is even worse. The question is who defined the software being alpha? No one could answer this. Why this is important? Only the anonymous developer has access to the code. So he defined it by himself? Okay, but what has he done for more than a year if it is still alpha? Either he has not done anything so far or he is not capable of finishing his software.

So at the moment you can wait for patents but there will be no end of delays even if the patents are pending finally. Then there will be a software released in alpha stage. So another months will be taken to get this to beta before it might be released in 2020.

And CCR never said he was stepping down rather he was letting the new CEO/COO be the face of XBY. CCR is still heavily involved.

well i actually did speak to ccr back then and realized from our chat that there really wasn't a patent at that point, but to watch people just sit by and defend this coin while losing money was just sad tbh

i hope most people who read this message dumped in jan 2018 or at least before the "patent in april 2018", if not...well, rip.
