It's all about the entry and exit points. There are certainly points in time when if you did invest your bitcoins and waited for 6 months you would have lost a ton of money, and there are risks. Especially now the price has peaked it seems unlikely that the price will go to $4000 just in 6 months.

Just to back up my claim: From December 2013 to May 2014 the bitcoin price went down by 60%. Not exactly double. But if you went into the market in November or October and exited April or March you would have made more than double. All about timing, can't just blindly say i'm going to leave my coins and go for 6 months.

That's too much risk since it's hard to tell when is the perfect time to buy or sell bitcoin. The best way to double one's bitcoin is to imvest it in altcoins. We all know that huge investors are investing in bitcoin and there are many investors used to invest in altcoins which they seriously put huge amount of money. If thou must invest in altcoins, better to buy it in its crwodsale period so that you'll get its cheaper price. After they have launched they ICO already im market, you can now sell or just hold if you believe that coin would pump.
