DNotes - A Simply Complex Idea of Massive Scale

https://dcebrief.com/dnotes-a-simply-complex-idea-of-massive-scale/

When I have seen this, I remembered how I came across DNotes at first Cheesy Some time ago when DNotes was still listed on Poloniex I have started to actively trade with coins in general. I had no clue what I was doing at the time and I just thought that I'm smart and that trading and making profit could not be that hard if everybody is doing it Roll Eyes Cheesy

After some time I realized that to trade and make some profit at it, takes skill and a lot of nerves and the virtue of not being to greedy Cheesy In the process I was disappointed by many coins which I had invested in. For many of them the hard truth at the time was, that the team behind them just pumped them, got more or less rich, and then abandoned them.

I still did not pay much attention to the DNotes at the time. For me it was just another coin in my portfolio and the only thing that interested me was the price movement and the graph. But after the coin got delisted from Poloniex I thought to myself "well again, another coin, with another group who just made high promises and nothing good came out of it". I was thinking of selling DNotes at the time, but the price dropped because o delisting. So instead of selling them I started to follow development and forum to see what is actually going on with the coin and with the intent to argue how this coin is probably a scam Embarrassed Roll Eyes I might be a little pissed off at that time Embarrassed Roll Eyes Cheesy

So I stared to follow the DNotes coin on Bitciontalk, Facebook, LinkedIn and other public networks...and after some time when they put up the Telegram chat I also started to follow them there. By that time I was amazed by how much the team was actually involved with the community and how they were always answering all the questions...even unpleasant ones  Grin

After some time when I have seen the level of communication by the team and how engaged they actually are and how they always stand behind their words, I have come to believe that the team behind the DNotes can really be trusted, aiming at long term success. So from being highly skeptical, somewhere along the road I have ended with firm believe that DNotes can really accomplish some big things where others have failed. I wish and believe that the funding will be successful and that this is just the beginning of great journey with one of the best coins out there an one of the most unique teams behind it!  Wink

Thank you for the kind words Amadeus82.

We also rue the delisting at Poliniex ome time ago now, but it has happened, and it will only be a matter of time before we return to having a presence on some of the larger exchanges. As always, this is likely to be contingent on us continuing to strive forward and have a very successful first funding round, which will help us to leapfrog forward into our second, much larger funding round. Many exciting things will be in the pipeline -- most of which are mentioned in our whitepaper.

Communication is one of the crucial things when running any business enterprise (or a cryptocurrency), and community engagement has always been one of our highest priorities. It will continue to remain this way, since the success of any project is often rooted in an excited, engaged, and believing community.

Not a problem Wink There is an old saying "good things will come to those who wait" and I'm sure that in time DNotes will be a big player in crypto space. If I have to be patient and wait a little that is of no great issue, even the Rome was not build in a day  Cheesy For me it is of critical value that I can trust the team and that you are all doing your best on the road to success and that you have a clear goals.

Looking forward to hear and see more great things from you! Cool

Quote from DNotes Telegram today:

Primoz, [03.09.18 18:08]
I have noticed some sign of slight optimism these days in crypto markets in general, I hope that this means good news also for DNotes😀
Do we already have any more exact data when DNotes will be on TV show which was being talked about some time ago (I forgot the title)? That should also increase exposure significantly👍

Alan Yong, [03.09.18 18:28]
[In reply to Primoz]
We are just as optimistic about our industry and the under-pinning technologies, as ever. As it directly relates to DNotes and DNotes Global, we are gaining tremendous respect and recognition while  generating strong interest on our funding campaign. It is keeping me very busy everyday. But raising money is always a long process and seldom happens overnight. I will remain 100% focused on it until we are sufficiently funded. Stay tuned. We have yet to be advised when the "Bitcoin Super-Star" documentary will be aired. It will be sometime during the next few months.

DNotes Cross Ownership Model Simplified With Apples And Oranges
https://dnotesedu.com/2018/09/dnotes-cross-ownership-model-simplified-with-apples-and-oranges/

https://dnotesedu.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/appleorangednote-1024x675.jpg

DNotes has implemented an ownership model that is so unlike any other in cryptocurrency, it can be a hard concept to comprehend. DNotes Global inc utilized what is known as a cross ownership model, and effectively gifted 25% equity stake in the corporation to individuals who hold DNotes digital currency, who are represented collectively as a group. Cross ownership is a method of reinforcing business relationships by owning stock in the companies with which a given company does business. DNotes stakeholders collectively own a 25% stake in DNotes Global, which already owns numerous properties. DNotes is our base in the decentralized world, and DNotes Global Inc will be our legal pathway to the centralized world.

To simplify this ownership model so anyone can understand, we will use apples and oranges as a visual aid. Let’s say there are 100 apples which represent all outstanding DNotes, and you own 10 of them. There are 100 oranges in existence which represent 100% of DNotes Global equity. 25 of the oranges would belong to DNotes digital currency holders. If you owned 10 apples (DNotes), your share would effectively be 2.5 oranges (2.5% equity in DNotes Global). Although these shares are non-transferable because they are collectively owned by DNotes digital currency as a group, you can still tell people that you own part of the DNotes Global corporation.

https://dnotesedu.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/orange-871282749123hSB3.jpg

Now let’s go over the principle of dilution as a continuation of the same scenario. If DNotes Global decides to expand it’s business by issuing more equity shares in the company, DNotes digital currency holders collective stake in the corporation would drop proportionally to the percentage of equity issued. For that we will use an extreme example; DNotes Global issues 100 more oranges, which dilutes DNotes digital currency stakeholder equity by 50%. That means your share is now 1.25 oranges instead of 2.5. But since the issuance of new equity shares to worthy partners will likely bring back more value to the company, each orange becomes much bigger.

That’s it! You now know how DNotes cross ownership model works, and you can probably even explain it to a 5 year old with the help of a few items from your fridge.

To learn more about DNotes Global’s plans for the future, read the whitepaper on the DNotes Global website, or participate in one of the many DNotes discussions on our social media channels where some of our friendly community members can answer all of your questions.

Thank you, Brandon.

Very well explained. DNotes is uniquely positioned like none others. We are on a mission to solve many problems confronting digital currency from gaining mass acceptance. The lack of intrinsic value is one of them. The success of DNotes Global could be a significant contributor to DNotes intrinsic value, thereby making it more valuable.

Thank you for the illustration Brandon, I'm sure many people may find this explanation helpful since it seems to have eluded or not dawned yet on many how different our model is. Interestingly, we may have been one of the first crypto to publicly state intention to include an equity-support feature to add intrinsic value to a cryptocurrency, though this is likely to become a lot more common in the near future with exchanges that acquire security trading licences.

How come no DNotes news shows up on google? Only stupid price analysis sites that freak out every 20 minutes over minor price changes? There are way more important Dnotes topics that should be in the news.

https://www.google.com/search?q=dnotes&source=lnms&tbm=nws&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiRsejxiqLdAhXymq0KHbRnBrQQ_AUICigB&biw=1920&bih=974

Our news shows up there often, the third result is an op-ed we published on the 1st. However, these "price update" sites flood the news with garbage for traffic.

Blogger
Number of blog websites worldwide – 425.7 million https://www.statista.com/statistics/256235/total-cumulative-number-of-tumblr-blogs/

Ways they can use DNotes
⦁ Collect recurring subscription fees from loyal customers by requesting a DNotesVault timed send payment from the customer, coupled with DNotes invoicing on the merchant’s side. If they stop making the recurring payment, the invoice will not be settled and they will no longer receive access to the content. https://dcebrief.com/dnotes-smart-invoicing-merchant-services-built-into-the-blockchain/
⦁ Collect DNotes donations by listing a DNotes wallet address or QR code on your website. This allows your readership to financially support the blog. The easiest way to get a QR code that readers can send DNotes to is by downloading the DNotes electrum wallet. https://github.com/DNotesCoin/electrum-dnotes/releases/download/3.13/electrum-dnotes-3.1.3-100-g84069bb-setup.exe
⦁ If you are a salaried blogger with a track record of loyalty to your employer, you can request that they pay you automatically in recurring timed send payments using DNotesVault. https://dnotesvault.com/
⦁ Have readers pay to unlock premium content, or pay to read more with the DNotesPay WordPress plugin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqKmqHiIXGk

Government Assistance Recipient

(including the unemployed, and people who currently work but also receive assistance)
Number of recipients in the US – 52.2 million https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2015/cb15-97.html

Ways they can use DNotes
⦁ DNotes is a very affordable investment, which opens up opportunities for all. DNotes does not discriminate based on pay grade, employment status, medical history, or personal habits. Unlike other investments or savings accounts, you can make investments of less than a dollar, and it is free to participate in the DNotes ecosystem. Users can keep their DNotes secure for a long duration of time at DNotesVault, where they will earn .5% interest approximately every month.
⦁ Enhances auditing ability for assistance providers, to make sure recipients aren’t spending money on items they don’t need. A recipients spending history can be followed in near real time on the block explorer, just by reviewing the address where their assistance payment was deposited. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/note/
⦁ Recurring payments can be made automatically for long term disability recipients by using DNotesVault timed send. http://dnotesvault.com/
⦁ Since the financial entry barrier to DNotes is all but non existant, users can leverage the interest they earn through CRISP and staking, to help slowly improve their financial standing and decrease their reliance on social assistance.
⦁ There are many ways to earn DNotes without buying any. Those dependent on government assistance could sell any product for DNotes, start learning how to be successful in business on https://fourpillarsofbusinesssuccess.com/, and begin breaking dependence on assistance by building their own small business. There are plenty of online platforms to build a free website, and if you get creative you can likely find products in your immediate vicinity that can be sold for DNotes. All you need is an internet connection; those who have a hard time finding one may want to look for a local internet cafe or library that offers computer access to the public. You can also work with others in your situation to help elevate the entire group to a level of success that would have been impossible as an individual.

Nice article Wink We need more articles like this on various web sites to increase the reach and awareness about DNotes.

Maybe opportunity for DNotes in the future would be to form a partnership with some company like Cashback (Lyoness), I'm sure that there are other similar out there, I just gave that one as example because it is most well known. Users could then maybe also collect points in the form of DNotes and could then exchange them for goods in physical form. Well...just the idea (not necessarily a good one Cheesy ) which currently occurred to me  Smiley

Curious to know your opinions on this story. Do you think more large merchants accepting bitcoin will mean there will be more people trying to sell btc for cash?

Bitcoin Adoption Is Getting A Massive Lightning Network Boost
https://www.forbes.com/sites/billybambrough/2018/09/05/bitcoin-adoption-is-getting-a-massive-lightning-network-boost/#527c382c420c

Bitcoin adoption is about to take another step forward with the Lightning Network today getting a boost from payment processing startup CoinGate — which is adding all 4,000 of its merchants to the off-chain system.

Those CoinGate merchants which will be able to accept payments via the Lightning Network include Swiss watch manufacturers Chronoswiss and Louis Chevrolet, gaming store Mmoga.com, hosting service Bitlaunch, and adult websites Livejasmin and Manyvids.

It is true that this could lead to increased selling pressure in the BTC / USD market, however it could lead to an increase int he demand of people to purchase Bitcoin in equal measure. Not only that, but if Bitcoin is easier to spend and trade for USD, then more people are likely to accept it as a medium of exchange for goods and services (since they know they can easily spend it or sell it). Once you get to that point there becomes no real need to take BTC back into USD, since everybody is using it for money as a medium of exchange, and a store of value anyway.

Well done Alan, I don't think this interview could have gone any better. You are absolutely right, the SEC was founded exactly for the reasons you described:

"Remember, the SEC mandate is not just about consumer protection; it also includes a responsibility to ensure that markets are fair. The SEC is unlikely to ever be satisfied with a situation in which some industries comply with security laws while others ignore them. So, our best option as an industry is to proactively move to come into compliance. Register where appropriate. Obtain exemptions where they apply. Just make sure that everything is done legally. We believe that the existing regulations are enough to bring order to ICOs and satisfy the regulatory authorities – but only if the industry focuses on compliance. DNotes Global is committed to leading the way in that effort."

"The SEC was tasked with preventing that type of environment from ever forming again. The agency was empowered to enforce regulations that would provide strengthened investor protections and secure and maintain fair, orderly markets. The goal was to ensure that capital could be formed in a more transparent and regulatory-compliant manner, protecting investors without stifling innovation and growth."

"Of course. While I have been on record agreeing with the SEC’s view of most ICOs – because they do meet the regulators’ definition of securities and thus should be regulated as such, that doesn’t mean that I disapprove of initial coin offerings as a concept. To the contrary, I believe that they are perhaps one of the most efficient means of capital formation we’ve ever seen. The ICO’s ability to enable virtually anyone in the world to invest in a project can conceivably provide greater access to opportunity for more people than any other form of investor fundraising.

That’s critically important for growth and innovation, since capital is the very lifeblood of entrepreneurial endeavors. To fulfill any entrepreneurial dream, startups must have ready access to capital that can enable them to properly execute their strategies at the right time and in the right way. In our hyper-connected world, the ICO provides a globally-accessible form of crowdfunding that can enable anyone with resources and internet access to participate in a funding effort. That’s truly disruptive for capital formation, and potentially world-changing."

This is the SEC mission statement, copied directly from the SEC website:
"The mission of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation."
