With $500 bucks you gamble and lose them all or trade and get dumped on by manipulative exchanges, also there is an option to invest in doubling total scams and every 24 hours double the amount and then after 2 years with their stupid strategy overcome every country and all financial markets worldwide/:
With $500 bucks you'll get no where no matter what you do, if I were you I'd spend it on my life, buying stuff for myself, because whatever you invest in you'll just waste your time like the people doing faucets are doing.
Instead go big go with a serious investment like $10,000 as a minimum and go all on Bitcoin while being deaf to FUD and people suggesting not put all eggs in one basket.

If I have 500$ now for investment, I would put 400$ of it to the  altcoin in my signature, creditbit. It's price is pretty cheap right now ranging from 20-30k satoshi price which was originally 60k satoshi and it got a lot of potential. I heard creditbit token would be added to jaxx soon so I wont miss this chance of investing in it. I would put 100$ left on bitcoin when another correction occurs.

If I have $500 I'm going to invest it to bitcoin and I'm buying at dip. And with the price of bitcoin it's hard to cope up as there will always be a major pump and minor dump. No, icos are risk investment, we can lose much money investing in icos, much better to hold bitcoins, it's safe compared to other schemes. Bitcoin everyone in crypto world knows what is and its strenght was already prooved.

i will invest $500 in bitcoin, and from that i will choose to buy maybe ltc, eth or etc as equal with $250 and the rest of the bitcoin, i will save it in my wallet. i think its still worth to investing in bitcoin and other altcoin, because the future of crypto currency is promising and todays, many people is trying to join in crypto currency world.

I'll invest 50% in bitcoin and half for altcoin such as xrm, bcn or ripple. Bitcoin now is falling down just like gold ( commodities ), up so fast and down never come up until now. My plan is simple, be careful with our money and never greedy. The investment in BTCs always worth, but sometimes it doesn't worth on short-term, so investors should know they will have to wait sometime until they could sell the BTCs and make the fiat profit over it. I believe the price will drop a bit more too, but you did the right choice, better to guarantee yourself for the next pump, as sometimes we aren't aware about the pump and when we see it's too late to invest...

I would diversify my investment, like 50% to buy bitcoin and 50% for ethereum. These two coins has bigger chance to rise rapidly as there are many supports out there using bitcoin and ethereum as medium of exchange to develop their business. 2 months ago when ethereum price only $18 - bitcoin at $1000 and now each just reach $164 and $2000, amazing increases within 2-3 months. I believe these coins will continue to rise and your money will doubled of course.

That is the most obvious choice of course. But that does not mean it is bad to invest in ICO if you know what you are doing. It is like gambling in dice sites. Gambling and ICO investing both have risks. But why is one encouraged and the other is not?

I actually started with $500, I bought ether twice with $250 each time when it was less than $10. You can see that eth is now at $160 and I have turned a total of a $900 investment into a crypto portfolio worth $8,300 as of today, with 13 different coins. I sold some ether when it was $50, $80 and $100 and used the profits to invest in other coins. I still hold 24 eth. You want to make sure to diversify and have several coins, that way if one goes down you don't lose all of your investment capital.

If I had $500 to start investing now, I would put $100 in 5 different coins that I researched and thought had good real world applications and future potential. And as I had more money I would either add to my 5 positions or start some new ones.

I never recommend investing ICOs. Because it will be harder for any beginner to analyse the potential of new projects. Instead of risking to new projects, I'm always suggesting to go with well-known investment opportunities like bitcoins.

Maybe ICOs may get comparatively more profits, but a new investors should not take big risk. Based on this investment priciples, I'm always suggesting investing with bitcoin kind of highly reputed opportunities. Because making lesser profit will be nice rather than struggling with big losses.
