It looks like RX560 2GB is much better than RX550 4GB.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

This depends on which coin (algorithm) you want to mine with which card. For example, an RX560 2GB will mine Cryptonight coins but not Ethereum, so an RX550 4GB is better if you want to mine Ethereum.

So I have a bit of a head scratcher maybe one of you can help me out with. I have 4 cards - 2x Gigabyte OC Gaming RX560's, one XFX RX560 4gb and 1 asus 4gb RX560. When I have them all hooked up, the gigabyte cards get around 13.5mh/s, the xfx gets 10.5mh/s and the asus gets 9.5 mh/s. All are set to Compute mode except for the Asus which for some reason I can't as there is no option to do so. Here is the head scratching part...The gigabytes always get around 13.5, but one day I disabled them just to play around and the XFX and Asus cards jumped up to 13 & 12 respectively. I plugged the gigabytes back in and boom they both went down again. I thought it could be a power supply issue as I only had 500w. I bought a 750 80plus gold Thermaltake PSU with the hopes and dreams of solving this issue but alas...it did not. I know I should just chuck those other two and get two more gigabyte cards but i have sunk more money into this than I wanted to already.
Any ideas you folks may have would be greatly appreciated!
PS...I have modded the bios of all 4 cards, the asus even shows as 16CU now.

It is not worth. If you can unlock the shaders, the card will not hash faster, because the memory is to slow (1500MHz).

New here into the mining world. I've been getting a lot of information from you folks about mining.
While I was trying to bios mod my second XFX RX560D 4GB single fan, I noticed through HxD that the bios are different from my first XFX card. Both XFX cards are labeled RX-560D4S V8.0 Radeon RX 560 4GB D5 1196M Core DP HDMI. Only the serial numbers are different. Is having a different bios typical? Using the same bios, I was successful in unlocking my shaders in the first card but the second card remained at 896 shaders. Do cards within the same models vary slightly where it's possible to flash to 1024 shaders on certain cards? Thanks

Even if you have two of the same cards, it doesn't mean both will unlock. Maybe is BIOS different because memory is different, you should check it.

R460/560 are good cards because they don’t use a lot of electricity and gives about 13 Mh/s while ETH mining. As I see there is some increase of speed after unlocking 1024 Stream processors. It is especially good for Monero and ZCash mining.

Hi guys, First of all, this topic has been very informative. Thank you all very much for sharing your knowledge and information Sadly, I didn’t do my homework before buying 12 x Sapphire Radeon RX 560 Pulse 4GB (11267- 18-20G). I thought I got a good deal, only later to find out this model is severely gimped. As stated before in this topic, it only has 896 shaders, less TMU, 1500Mhz and less Bandwidth: https://i.imgur.com/lIYIFl5.pngI can’t return them anymore so I have to make the best of it…. However, it looks like my card is just a softlocked ‘normal’ Sapphire Radeon RX 560 Pulse OC 4GB (11267- 00-20G). I have been able to unlock the shaders to 1024, the TMU to 64 and my memory chips are also ‘normal’ MT51J256M3 (MICRON) a.k.a. they run at 1750Mhz by default. https://i.imgur.com/dJfr57K.pngI’ve tried different straps (from Wacko, Branko, One Click Timing from PSBEditor 1.6.7, the BIOS straps website with the Nyan cat logo and the ‘top secret’ 15Mhs strap) and was able to push this ‘gimped’ card to 12.1MH/s. Sadly, I can’t do much more because of the limitation in Bandwidth. It’s locked to 96 GB/s and I need the full 128 GB/s in order to push the hashrate even further. Changing/raising the TDP and TDC made no difference; the cards just keeps using the same wattage (which is odd I think). My question: Is it possible to unlock/BIOSmod the Bandwidth to 128 GB/s as well? @Branko: Do you see any room for more improvements in my BIOS mod? For those of you interested in my ROM: Stock ROM (without any modifications): http:// data .freek. ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_STOCK.rom ROM with shaders unlocked to 1024 (no other modifications): http:// data .freek. ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_UNLOCKED.rom ROM with unlocked shaders, Branko’s strap and increased max. memory frequency (for use with claymore): http:// data .freek .ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_12MHs.rom ( REMOVE THE SPACES IN THE URL. I could'nt link directly to my server, it got flagged my bitcointalk) The last ROM (the one with Branko’s strap) will give you 12.1MH/s at Ethereum mining using Claymore 10.6 and the following settings: -cclock 1275 -mclock 2225 -cvddc 1000 -mvddc 850 Thank you very much for your time Windows 10 - 64-bit Biostar TB250-BTC PRO Ver. 6 AMD Adrenalin 18.1.1 Claymore 10.6 hi, maybe somebody have this bios files because the link does not work. And the FRK is offline from February
