No. Taproot primarily benefits scripting whereby not all of the possible spending conditions are fulfilled revealed and specifically, Schnorr signatures allows for PK aggregation.

Neither of those are current ChipMixer's usecase, where the private keys are prepared before the user initiates a session and the addresses are normal P2PKH or P2WPKH.

Although the withdraw page has the correct Electrum prefixes if "Import to Electrum" is clicked, I think that it could be useful to add a red "(p2pkh:)" where the page tells:

Importing them into Electrum they may require special prefix

I'm actually kind of sad to see the current state of DDos'ing... I use my company's laptop 90% of the time, and i'm not allowed to install the tor browser (blacklisted due to company policy). I did beta test using my cellphone, it works great tough... Good job

Are you allowed to install Brave browser? I would not use it as a main browser but there is also Tor integrated inside Brave browser that would make easy getting around those rules of your company.

Another idea would be to install a virtual machine onto that laptop and install this kind of things onto the VM, which you can easily dispose completely.
Or you can boot from a Tails USB, and tails comes with Tor browser too.

So there are some ways. Clearly not as comfortable as installing Tor browser directly, still...

Yep, had the same issue importing the private-keys without the p2wpkh: prefix. If we all made the same mistake, imagine the other less-tech-savvy users. :P -snip-

I also made a similar mistake when importing a private key into an Electrum wallet (v.3.3.8) without using the prefix p2wpkh:.
Apparently for Electrum must include the prefix p2wpkh: to get Segwit Address.

If we went dishonest and offered "clean chips" without explaining what makes them "clean" we could attract a lot of people especially if we advertised at dark net websites.
But with our price strategy more customers and more volume does not make more money. It makes us want to attract honest privacy minded people that know a lot or want to learn and they know what our tool is worth for them.

I took part in the beta testing round for the v3 edition of ChipMixer. I've shared my feedback with you over PM and I found no problems with the service. A few hours ago I tried to resume my session just to see what would happen. I entered my session token and noticed this:



It shows the total chips as 0.000 BTC, but underneath that it shows a chip size of 0.002 BTC. I have never had to restore a session in the past, so I don't know if this is the usual layout or not. The coins have already been imported and moved, so why does it show a 0.002 BTC balance in the second field? Was it like that before as well or is this a visual bug?

I believe the "total chips" (above) represents the chips you haven't withdrawn yet (a.k.a generated the private key) and can still be merged/split/turned into vouchers, while the "private keys" (below) represents the ones you already withdrew and which private-keys can be seen on the step 3.

I think you are right. I did make two withdrawals and one deposit when testing the service. After the first withdrawal, I ended the session and started another one with half of the previously withdrawn coins. That 0.002 BTC shown underneath could represent the last amount I deposited, played around with, and withdrew.

They registered this domain just few days ago, and interesting thing I noticed is that they are always offering the same P2SH address starting with 37v9 from their fake page, and I tried different tor identites.
So far there is zero balance and nobody sent or received any transaction.

At this point, I believe that there's no reason to use the clearnet website. Not even one. ChipMixer probably wants it for SEO, but if you're familiar with this product, you should mix using Tor.

E.g 2021-01-30 ->> ChipMixer.cm
