Here is the address the site originally instructed me to deposit to:

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1Gj9CbEuoxKnnhsw3xhUNo3v7jnzmQ8WMS
Don't you find weird that this address has already been used 6 times since October? I don't think you can be "100% sure" that this wasn't a mistake on your end.

I think its actually quite convenient. If I was chipmixer and I was going to selectively scam people, this is exactly what I would do so people like you would say that. It's all about creating a scenario in which it looks "unrealistic" to get away with it. On the contrary, if someone went through all the trouble to try and trick me (whether getting a typo domain or whatever) why would it go to a place that isn't spent? I would just keep these unspent until my full complete exit scam.

Unrealistic theory fits when you are sure who is guilty and you want proofs to confirm it.

Your theory is - since October ChipMixer selectively scam users by serving special address before they decide how much they want to deposit. 5 out of 7 transactions to this address are under 3 mBTC. 1 transaction is even lower than 1 mBTC. All that while paying around 10 BTC (since October) for signature campaign at BCT.

More realistic theory is that you are using Tor while accessing .com:

Attention:

At least one Tor exit node serves chipmixer.com as plain-text stripping SSL encryption and replacing deposit address with their own.

If you use Tor - please use Tor link: http://chipmixerwzxtzbw.onion/

This message was posted in July.

More about Tor exit nodes: https://medium.com/@nusenu/how-malicious-tor-relays-are-exploiting-users-in-2020-part-i-1097575c0cac

already noticed that a long time ago....like I said, I use VPN (PrivateInternetAccess) and safari and go to chipmixer.com no TOR.

it's just weird that the scammers would go through all that trouble and have me send to a wallet they can't even use since there are coins sitting there since last year.

I'm trying to get you guys to understand, I mix coins for a lot of hours a day, it's kind of my job lol.

any logic can be twisted to fit the narrative. I could easily say chipmixer is free and doesn't make money and on top of that they have spent 10 BTC since October advertising so selectively scamming or blaming that the user went to the wrong URL would be a great way to generate revenue.

It is what it is, like I said, didn't go to a phishing site or go to URL no matter how badly you guys wanted me to have.

I'm never using chipmixer again but you guys are all free to. its all good though, it was great service while it lasted for me anyway. now need to figure out how to clean these bitcoins daily, please pm if you guys have any good procedures.

I'm trying to get you guys to understand, I mix coins for a lot of hours a day, it's kind of my job lol.

I think you need to understand that the people answering you have used ChipMixer many times so they know it is trustworthy and they wouldn't risk their reputation on this forum advertising a scam.

any logic can be twisted to fit the narrative. I could easily say chipmixer is free and doesn't make money and on top of that they have spent 10 BTC since October advertising so selectively scamming or blaming that the user went to the wrong URL would be a great way to generate revenue.

ChipMixer makes large sums through donations and it would be stupid to selective scam dust and lose the reputation they have built. Your theory is quite frankly ludicrous.

It is what it is, like I said, didn't go to a phishing site or go to URL no matter how badly you guys wanted me to have.

They were trying to help you to understand where you might have gone wrong.

ive been moving 2-5 bitcoins a day, everyday, minus obviously a few days off for holidays and shit for almost 3 years, have been using chipmixer for about last 9 months with that daily volume so I know. it wasn't a "theory" perse it was more of a demonstration of how any narrative can be created as a response to chipmixer for asking why, I was purely responding to him specifically, that any narrative can be formed.

kcool thx, again I'm never using them, but you guys can feel free to. any other good ways to mix coins now that I can't trust them to use them?

Are you sure there isn't any malware on your device(s) that you used for interacting with chipmixer.com? Moving hundreds of bitcoins per year it's possible that you could also have been targeted.

Yeah right. That's why you have a brand new newbie account here and claim to be mixing expert. lol.

I don't think anyone reading your posts is going to believe that it wasn't either a mistake by you or you are just making the whole thing up.

A very quick look at your post history leads one to the conclusion that you are a competitor and are trying to smear your far more successful rival.

I'm randomly getting an error on my mixing session. It displays the Chipmixer logo and says "Service did not respond - Please try again" it shows up randomly when the page refresh by itself.

What is going on?

Is your browser up to date ? The website might be under heavy load or maybe under DDOS attack. I've had this happen but it still worked in the end. Yesterday I had problems with cloudflare and they were resolved after updating my browser.

Yeah this could just be something for chipmixer to fix with cloudflare or to reduce the number of refreshes that occur from their Javascript... If it works in the end - as cna be assumed - it's just a minor issue especially if it doesn't take long for the site to reappear after the error.

fix with cloudflare
You should read theymos' post on how Cloudflare is basically a man-in-the-middle and can see everything.

I thought it was a man in the middle. Although I think chipmixer provide their own certificate on their server and point cloudflare to that so stuff MAY be encrypted. I access most things via tor when possible (and neccary - when not necessary I use a vpn instead) as cloudflare also have an office in London afaik...

No. read what I said again. I looked at your post history.

If you REALLY paid attention to my post history you would see that I'm a mixer LOL.

I did pay attention to the fact that you first posted a vouch for the service in your name which turned out to be a scam. Then you turn up here making ridiculous allegations against the most trusted and successful mixer there is. I'd guess you are about lunch another scam mixer and the vouch for that.

Why would you straight up lie and said you went through my post history, that's insane.

The only thing insane around here is the idea that ChipMixer selectively scams. If they did you wouldn't be the first to turn up here to complain. Check ChipMixer's trust wall.

You're one of those. Let me guess you don't wear masks either. Are you a chipmixer alt account?

I don't wear any masks. My job title is in my profile.

No you didn't, I accused smartmixer of scamming....read the original post. Also have my DMs with a mod here about the issue too Smiley

They fixed my issue but guess what, turns out they were scamming. That's probably why you're misinterpreting my "thanks for fixing my issue" as some sort of support for them? I think you need to reread shit. You're probably one of those that think is super smart is a dumbass in real life. No offense. If that triggered you, you know I hit a small piece of truth LOL.

Cmon bro lol stop lying, I honestly think you are chipmixer, there's no way you should be this emotionally invested defending them and attacking me out of the blue.

I'm literally trying to report an honest interaction I had, you can take it or leave it. But for people to start saying I'm lying or making things up, that's super shady. You're only making chipmixer look worse.

Feel free to PM me and I will show you session IDs worth up to 3 bitcoin all moved to chipmixer in last 2 hours before my issue. I could look back and probably put together session IDs for

If you also scour through posts, you will see 6-8 other people posting the same exact issue. No one including chipmixer admin ever addresses them and there is zero follow up to those posts. There is another user that reported this exact issue maybe 2 or 3 pages before me and his issue gets brushed to the side as well, never gets addressed. For example, go back few pages before my first post, I even quote the guy. The guy says he had issues on two sites, chipmixer and another URL, he determines the other URL was a scam site but the issue of him going to chipmixer and getting a diff deposit URL later on is never addresses. Just look. After you do that, go back about 8 page from there, same issue. No one talks about it. Knowing how lazy the average person is though and how biased people are, do I think any of you will actually do this? No.

It is what it is guys, like I said, if this stops chipmixer from selectively scamming, then it was worth it for me to post about it.

Why are you guys so butthurt about me posting my own experience? Do you guys not realize that I thought about how this would sound and look before posting it? And even with the usual expected internet moms basement types coming out, I still posted it. It's kind of weird that people are trying to attack me for it. All I've done is said I did not make any stupid mistakes that you guys all thought I did. Take it or leave it LOL. If you guys TRULY believe I fucked up, just move on with it. But obviously if you guys are worried I'm revealing something that has weight, then I can understand the overcompensating reactions.

If you don't like Chipmixer just don't use it, put your facemask, don't worry and move on.

It's called deflection. They have been told how unbelievable and rediculous their claims are by many experienced long time members of this community. They are 100% positive they didn't make a mistake so them making it up is the only possibility left. Rather than address their credibility shortfall they double down on implausible claims so we argue about that to distract us.

My question seems pretty trivial but why doesn't ChipMixer adopt Segwit yet? It was activated such a long time ago and even if they had planned to use Legacy from a long time ago, it seems like it would be better to have some mix of bc1 and p2pwsh addresses in the chips?

It would have significantly reduced the fees that I have to spend to move the chips to my wallet.

The last thing I read about it:
last few days some of low size chips were preloaded with Segwit (segwit over p2sh) instead of non-segwit (p2pkh). Out of all withdrawn Segwit chips - none were sweeped by our users. If you were affected - please contact our support - we will help you get your coins.

ChipMixer Segwit rollout will be delayed.
I haven't imported SegWit private keys in a long time, but last time I did it was a bit more complicated than native addresses:
For P2SH-P2WPKH addresses (Addresses starting with "3")
Just add p2wpkh-p2sh: directly in front of your  private key.
For example
Code:
p2wpkh-p2sh:5BitcoinPrivateKey
This should generate the corresponding p2wpkh-p2sh bitcoin address.

For P2WPKH addresses (Bech32, starting with 'bc1')
This time we'll add p2wpkh: in front of the private key.
For example
Code:
p2wpkh:5PrivateKey
This should generate the corresponding Bech32 address

Segwit addresses are still a minority:
Code:
33,075,249 funded Bitcoin addresses on December 17, 2020
24,519,978 of those start with 1
6,447,377 of those start with 3
2,107,877 of those start with bc1q
