I'm not following how the gambling makes it different though. You're depositing a different amount than withdrawing, sure, but you could just as easily deposit x and withdraw x-y as well (without the risk) and then do the rest later.

I'm not sure if this is very accurate but if I mix X, I would presumably be withdrawing A+n =X-fees-donations.

But if I gamble I would be withdrawing A+n = X+(profit/loss)-fees-donations. It's possible that I could be withdrawing more, or less. but since profit or loss is unknown, it just makes it harder to determine .

At the very least, the gambling scenario adds the possibility that I end up with more than I mixed. An added rule any attempt at detection would be forced to have.

Yeah but I mean doing it like this simply means it's like going to a different site and gambling and then withdrawing. I'm not saying the gambling aspect is a bad one to have (options are always awesome), I just don't see how it really enhances the mixing process itself.

You can deposit on chipmixer from several addresses, withdraw partly, create a voucher, come back later, deposit from another address to another address (new chipmixer session), redeem your voucher, split and merge, withdraw, then analyzing the blockchain to find your coins would become totally impossible.

Well I saw the recent additions to chip mixer and how they fused with gambling. I like the thought of the idea but I am not sure how it worked out. I feel like you guys are sending a message to your customers like “Hey anonymize your bitcoin and then gamble it away” It kind of doesn’t fit with your guy’s entire business idea. But hey, credit where credit is due, and I can see that even though you guys are pretty young, I can see how you guys are not just doing to be doing basic mixing but you guys are offering more functions to your mixing.

The gambling part is optional. And it's just an extra way of anonymizing your Bitcoins. Imagine if you want to mix BTC 0.5, gambled on the website and withdrew BTC 1.0; You sent an amount and received another totally different. That makes your mixing activities a lot more anonymous.

From the ChipMixer FAQ:

Quote
Why should I use bet/donate function?
Betting and donate allows you to change possible output value. Even if blockchain analysis may assume you will receive permutation of chips, they cannot predict how much you've lost / won betting or how much you've donated. As with split / merge, you don't have to use it - existence of this option increases your privacy.
https://chipmixer.com/faq

Yeah I get it is totally optional, but I think it was just my personal opinion on gambling that made me have that view, since a while back you were able to gamble with skins or chips on a video game. You would deposit your items in a site and they would give you coins to gamble with. It lead to a lot of younger people to start gambling and kinda ruined the game for me.

I really like the idea though, and I see how it makes it a lot more anonymous. It kinda adds a certain enjoyment to mixing, which is usually a pretty boring process to go through, I might try out the site later this week, and I'll leave a review.

My understanding is that using the betting function can allow you the possibility of gaining bitcoins just like betting on a gambling site so you can mix the coins and take a profit.

The donation option allows the user to voluntarily tip the site for their services. Most people should be willing to pay something for this service but this gives you the choice of how much to pay.

I think both of these functions enhance the site because they allow the customer to make these decisions.

I think the gambling option is just for increasing the anonymity of your bitcoin transaction.. you can take the profit and increase the anonymity that i think is one of the good option added..
Since there service is not asking auto estimation fee for there service a donation is for those who just want to donate how much they can donate..
This is a unique service that i never seen to other mixer that you can allow only for donation the other mixer are asking both fee and donation..

Seems like everyone is talking about the gambling aspect of chipmixer and I'll add my own input.

There are 2 aspects that adding gambling your chips can bring.

1. Further anonymity, say you deposited 0.05 onto chipmixer and then bet 0.01 of that and came out on top, you would be leaving with 0.06 and that would be harder to track than just putting 0.05 in and taking the same amount out.

2. It is fun and adds an aspect of gaining coins with mixing. Just don't bet all your coins.

The pay-what-you-want pricing model is actually becoming fairly popular. In this case, it also happens to be beneficial to ChipMixer as a business as well. This model allows people who would otherwise not use the service (due to cost) to use it without really costing the business, in this case ChipMixer, any significant amount of money. Furthermore, in this specific case, more people using the service, even if they are not paying, is actually beneficial to being a mixer. The higher the quantity using the mixer, the more transactions get anonymized and privacy kept secure. For this reason it actually helps ChipMixer that people are allowed to use their services at no charge. It's a win-win situation. And then of course there will pretty much always be people who pay out of appreciation of the service offered.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

I knew just recently that you can bet on chipmixer. LOL.

Anyway, like you said, I think it is definitely to bet on chipmixer than on sites like primedice. If you're the type of person that mixes his/her coins from betting sites, rather bet on chipmixer since you bet using the mixing site itself, decreasing the number of transactions you need to make. We all know how much a transaction may cost these days. lol

I don't know if anyone had suggested this but here it goes: you should fix your website in mobile mode although you can view it in desktop mode but for the sake of conveniency it would be better.

Actually you get no fees transferring your bitcoins in primedice from one account to another and whenever you send it to your wallet (correct me if I'm wrong). What the real edge of ChipMixer is if you bet there and won a lot then decided to mix it then you don't need to do it manually since the site itself is a mixer which will save you a lot of time.

You are forgetting one of the main benefits of betting in ChipMixer rather than betting separately and then mixing: privacy. If you are mixing coins without doing any other transaction such as a purchase then your inputs and outputs are going to be the same amount of bitcoin. For example, you send in 1 BTC, you then get back 1 BTC. By using the built-in wagering, your input is guaranteed to be different from your output. That 1 BTC you might have wagered with would, with full security, be output as a different amount (for example as 2 BTC if you won the wager and it got doubled). This makes it pretty much impossible to trace in any way.

Of course, the counterargument would be that other sites may have more betting features and different ways of wagering your money, but if that is the case then the regular mixing that ChipMixer offers is pretty good, especially if vouchers are used and the output is withheld until a later date.

This betting feature really is not made solely for betting but rather provide more anonymity and be more untraceable using betting and also after that when you mix and send (like you said) would produce different input and output.

Of course, the counterargument would be that other sites may have more betting features and different ways of wagering your money, but if that is the case then the regular mixing that ChipMixer offers is pretty good, especially if vouchers are used and the output is withheld until a later date.
We should know that ChipMixer is mixing site rather than betting site which betting is made for the purpose to enhance further your mixing experiences.

I agree with what you are saying btcton, if you deposit 1 BTC and then retrieve the same amount, people can easily track your addresses and then they can obtain all your addresses, and from then some hackers will be able to find your wallet and then hack through it. This is why sometimes gambling/donating your funds are beneficial since it does make it harder to track.

Chipmixer offers a regular mixing service but adds heaps of features to make it secure.

Hey. You have a lot of incorrect informations in your post.

I agree with what you are saying btcton, if you deposit 1 BTC and then retrieve the same amount, people can easily track your addresses and then they can obtain all your addresses,
No. They can't "easily" track your addresses and neither obtain all your addesses. The gambling part is just an EXTRA so people can have some fun, profit or make sure you are 100% anonymous for the super paranoids. In my opinion you can easily be safe by only mixing your coins.

and from then some hackers will be able to find your wallet and then hack through it.
I do not want to sound rude, but do you even know how Bitcoin works? How can someone find your wallet by only knowing your address, and even worse... hack throught it?

That is why they are adding gambling is just to increase to anonymity of the transaction which is it will hardly to track your bitcoin..
And if you are lucky to win in gambling it can increase more the security of your bitcoin because they seen that you only have 1 btc as sample and win in gambling and you can receive it as 2 btc  minus the donation if you donate.. and it will hardly to trace your transaction..

This is a unique mixing service that i never seen from other mixers ..
The other good thing there you can only pay how much you want to donate.. unlike other services ..

lets make a sample,
i bought 1BTC on my local exchanger, and send it to international exchanger such as (Bittrex,Polo and etc) after using it.
i send it back to my local exchanger, but my address on local exchanger can be tracked (my experience and also my friend).
if i mix it,will it shows my address on exchanger ? because btc address on my exchanger is unique and trackable.
when i used it i am a bit uncomfortable because of it,can you explain it a little bit to me ?

The BTC going to chipmixer can be tracked until then.

Chipmixer gives you private keys created before you sent the BTC.

And if you sent 1BTC then you will end up with your coins on several of those private keys (the "chips").

Even with a lot of analysis it's really impossible to track.

That doesn't mean that they're 100% altruistic or generous.  By offering a free service, they:

-Draw attention to the bet feature, giving them an expected 3% average fee from people who use it
-Draw attention to the donations feature, and commonising the amounts.
-Gain a positive reputation among the majority of users.

A lot of businesses do promotions in which people pay less.

The BTC going to chipmixer can be tracked until then.

Chipmixer gives you private keys created before you sent the BTC.

And if you sent 1BTC then you will end up with your coins on several of those private keys (the "chips").

Even with a lot of analysis it's really impossible to track.

Yes, mixing service is really boon for bitcoin and its anonymity. Due to excessive trades on exchange, most of the funds flowing are traceable but mixers especially Chipmixer helps in retaining real mean of bitcoin by providing anonymity.
Being free of cost, Chipmixer is undoubtedly the best mixer I have seen till date.

lets make a sample,
i bought 1BTC on my local exchanger, and send it to international exchanger such as (Bittrex,Polo and etc) after using it.
i send it back to my local exchanger, but my address on local exchanger can be tracked (my experience and also my friend).
if i mix it,will it shows my address on exchanger ? because btc address on my exchanger is unique and trackable.
when i used it i am a bit uncomfortable because of it,can you explain it a little bit to me ?

Then use other exchanger to received coins from trading exchanges then transfer it to your address although a bit more pricey because of transaction fees. Best example would be XAPO for that kind of feature. So it will be Trading Exchange = XAPO = your exchanger. (Note: Im not recommending XAPO here for any other reasons. I just state they have that feature.)

I haven't tried yet to mix coins coming from a trading platform although I think it will worked. I found it risky. If you want to test it and you can afford to amount then do some experiment if you like.

(correct me if Im wrong here)
