Many signature members on this forum have no idea what constructive posting is, so this disqualifies them as judges.

About the bonus, I'm not in the campaign and I hope I'm not boring and not spamming your thread, I'd just like to give my humble opinion

The bonus would be for someone who besides having good post quality has also posted in different sections

for example:

If one member did 50 posts per week

10 post made in the Meta section (the 10 post of excellent quality)

10 post made in the section of Bitcoin Discussion (the 10 post of excellent quality)

20 post made in the Press section (the 20 post of excellent quality)

10 post did in the Economics section (the 10 post of excellent quality)

This member would gain 0.01 btc of bonus.

Perhaps this could be done via voting for nominated posts of your choosing... ie. while auditing posts for content/quality (or maybe campaign participants could also nominate others that they see making quality posts?)... Pick the top 3-5 posts that you think are of good quality (regardless of rank/post count etc) and put up a post with links to the posts and run a vote for a couple of days?

You'd likely want to make it a self moderated thread to help keep it tidy... and you'd probably want to make it so that only campaign participants can vote to prevent "cheating" by spamming votes using alts? Or make it so only Sr. Members and up could vote?

I'm not a big fan of that method given that it adds extra work on each participant while only benefiting one. Unless someone has a better idea, it will probably be chosen by either ChipMixer or me.

More asking about the bonus. I was thinking either a bonus percentage, or a fixed bonus. Thoughts?


Note: We may not add it - we are only considering it at this time.

Maybe look at the people who make the most posts and then the quality of them. I think a lot of people on this campaign will likely just make the maximum posts of 50 or so a week then stop but those who make many more should be considered for the bonus providing their posts are of great quality also.

I am also not accepted,but this is campaign manager decision and nothing can be done here-what was good for Bitmixer obviously is not good enough for ChipMixer.Since your application was before many other users who are accepted, I think that you are not accepted because of post quality.

But what if more than one person does it? Who will get the bonus? I think this will eventually end with the manager deciding, because polls can be manipulated with alts and are too much work. Do you really want to review other people's accounts for free, so that they can get a bonus? That falls upon the manager.
I think it has been done before (the manager deciding who should get a bonus) and as long as he chooses quality over quantity, you should be ok with it.

No, there were 20+ applicants and I had 3 (actually 1 but I miscounted) slots. Most people weren't denied because of post quality.

SMAS is a good initiative and I see the reasoning behind Lutpin/Lauda/Yahoo. I like to have a personal list and to not trust the judgement of others though, which is why I don't use their lists (as of now anyway).

legendaries can apply to coinroll on a case by case basis though it's not formally open. the rates are fixed at 25c per post but they also pay you for your total post count. i don't know how much it would add up to for a legend.
