I strongly encourage you to switch to using a SegWit address (and learn about it if you haven't yet), especially for campaign payments, as you get lower fees, and it goes towards reducing the mempool size. I am not making it a requirement for now, but it may be in the future.

First, amazing job on selecting participants and pruning the members of this campaign.  I actually took the time to check out the members’ posts, and I’m amazed at the post quality of the majority of the members here I just realized that we have the best campaign on the forums. Keep up the great work!

Secondly, for everyone reading, I started using GreenAddress for my SegWit-enabled address. They use change addresses, but just know that you can use the same static address to repeatedly receive transactions. Check out GreenAddress here: https://greenaddress.it

You can sign a message if you use a native Segwit bech32 address. Of course to verify it someone will need to be using a wallet that supports these. Hopefully, Core will not make us wait too much longer for 0.16.0.

No worries, it will only become a requirement either never, or some time after Bitcoin Core supports it in a new version. If you want to switch now though, I believe you can build from master on the repo which has the planned SegWit additions merged already.

If most exchanges and wallet developers enable segwit address, and everyone willing to use it, we won't end with over 154K unconfirmed transactions on the mempool. Hopefully, more people aware of this matter.
