Maybe. They do anything to secure fundings for their senseless terror actions.

Of course they do - what they do is a business - they know exactly what they are doing, don't you believe otherwise.

if the IS ever uses bitcoin, it becomes a platform for their arrest and destruction. Much as bitcoin is decentralised, certain protocols can be tapped into to discover why certain transactions were made and from where.

It has been well documented that in fact they raided Syria of old Christian artefacts and then were flogging them on the dark web for bitcoin. I think that they will probably have a sizeable BTC wallet !!

Do you know in which dark market the antiques were put on sale? This is the first time I am hearing about it. If this is true, then I am sure that it was an isolated incident. Because the usual route for ISIS to sell the antiques was through smugglers in Turkey and the payment was usually made in either Turkish Lira, United States Dollar or Syrian Pound.

I don't think ISIS has bitcoin as their source of funds. Probably they have a financial backer but bitcoin is unimaginable.

There's a big possibility that criminals are also using bitcoins. Their identity cannot be known when using bitcoin. I think this should also be considered by the developers of bitcoin- how to trace suspicious persons. At the end of everything, we should be one with the government in not tolerating terrorists or criminals.

We all know that the bitcoin is popoular...we cant sure the reason behind this is legalisation and regulations of the bitcoin making the bitcoin more open and this retarding the people to use bitcoin for illegal porpuse..

We all know that Bitcoin is also popular to criminals because they can use it without exposing their identity. It will be more convenient to them to use Bitcoin so that they can hide their identity. Do you think that terrorist groups like ISIS use it for their transactions?
I think they are using it I have heard a story that anonymous are hacking their bitcoin in the deepweb ,
I don't think if that's true or what but I strongly believe that they are already using it because as long as they could use it as a payment for their transaction they would use it.

There's a possibility they are using bitcoin because bitcoin is convenient and easy to use even for dirty transactions. It's convenient for them because they can send a big amount of money even without being noticed by the authorities.

They are technologically very advanced as compared to other such groups especially in the field of IT. They might be using it, but I think its not as beneficial to them as we consider it to be. And if they are using it, it doesn't make any difference.

ISIS uses American dollars, that's for sure. Does this mean that you need to prohibit dollars?
I think OP was legitimately asking a question and wasn't saying that BTC should be banned if it is.

I'm sure ISIS uses Bitcoin. Some people even the fund the organization by providing them with Bitcoin and other altcoins. Like every technology, Blockchain will be used for bad causes and also good causes.

Using bitcoin it's easier to save funds maybe, but for their needs it's not that convinient. They have real money and spend it for material things. But if they have different businesses like mafia then it's possible that they use bitcoin as other people do.

This is funny. It's not impossible, though. Technology has taken over. So, I won't be surprised if they use Bitcoin.

Isis is pretty much useless now. And if they use Bitcoin, I can so easily see those Bitcoins getting loss one day, due to who ever hold the private keys  getting destroyed and such, and weak points in the upper ups who don't know how it's used. They're better off using cash, no credit.
