We all know that Bitcoin is also popular to criminals because they can use it without exposing their identity. It will be more convenient to them to use Bitcoin so that they can hide their identity. Do you think that terrorist groups like ISIS use it for their transactions?
They might be using bitcoin and again they might not be using bitcoins and have no clue what bitcoins are. But whats the difference? They are committing act of terrorism, just using a different form currency. They can still hide their identity using fiat currency, we all know that.

It seems logical for a global group like them to use btc, yes.

It's not really in our interests to even care though whether or not they do use bitcoin to fund their terrorist attacks. Nothing we can do about it. It's like the drug dealers using bitcoin, there is really no way that anyone can simply ban them from using bitcoin.

They could be using cash more than btc, precious metals, collectibles to finance their activities for all we know. As I said it isn't really a valid worry at all.

There is a high possibility that ISIS uses bitcoin as their form of transferring money from one point to another. ISIS is a terrorist group that needs money to fund their needs for equipment so bitcoin will be one of the possible way to transfer big amount of money to that group and cash it out without being notice that is a black money.
I do not think isis would be interested to used bitcoin and they can easily go to the bank and get more money, they used high tech gadgets but i do not think they would like to used digital currency like bitcoin. You said that they are terrorist and they can easily get easy money by hold upping some rich family or others.

A big yes.  Pretty sure they are using it like what you said that they can hide their identities.  They can buy illegal things like high powered machines, guns, illegal drugs, and the like without having a fear of being detected.  They maybe use it to fund their recruits or having their allowances on them.  But on the brighter side, we can buy things and have transactions without the hassle.

Regarding from the latest criminal case that has used bitcoin to be his currency. I mean about the Wanna Cry malware and i think if it is possible the bitcoin to be used by the terrorist.
Bitcoin gives convenience for our privacy through use the pseudonymous aspect.
But this still based on our speculation. My thought if the coin with zero proof system will have become its interested coin.

Possibly, I can't say for sure, only daesh and the intelligence services are certain. Global governments are actively looking, tracking and blocking all funding efforts through banking channels, donations have become harder to receive. So it is logical that they will look to bitcoin to hide their transactions.

This was asked several times before also. It's obviously yes, ISIS does use Bitcoin there is no way to prove it but yes it does. There was some news in past that isis user western union over bitcoin, and I think that is also true. It would be absurd to think such a  huge terriost organization using only a cryptocurrency.

I'm sure that ISIS uses Bitcoin and other currencies that help fund their projects. It would be pretty interesting if that group used only Bitcoin to pay for things and did not have any other type of currency within their base.

What happened to their ISIScoin? Did they begin distributing it yet?

Probably yes, bitcoin can show the balance and the transactions but the owner of the address is anonymous and also, bitcoin is the main currency of some markets in darknet so, they can buy some weapons in the darknet although there are some ISIS members are anonymous but they can't use banks to keep their funds so bitcoin is the option to keep and use their funds for weapons

It's perfectly possible, there is not anything to ensure that it will not happen. A few months ago, I read an article, and it said that IS used it to buy weapons of war. It is clear evidence, bitcoin is being exploited, and there is no way to prevent it. Perhaps we should accept the truth.

What do you mean by ISIScoin? Does the said terrorist group is now a company? Do they have an ISIScoin now? When will be the ICO? Do they have the whitepaper? Who are the founders? Lol. ISIS are now here in the Southeast Asia especially in the Philippines. Let us all be safe.

Yeah I've also seen there ISIScoin and they make threads in this forum, but I forgot their thread in where section because I see it has been a long time. I'm sure ISIS uses bitcoin as well as their payment tool.

I'm sure it does. ISIS uses everything that can help to finance their dirty war especialy if they have good chances to cover their traces and money flow. Unfortunately Bitcoin can help them with that. They have specialized people who are monitoring new technologies that could be used for their terrorist activities. They are evil but they are not dumb.

There is no question. DAESH is known to have used BTC. But there are very few in the "caliphate" who would know how. They have there own currency anyway. Apparently they are gold bugs.

I think we can be certain that they know what Bitcoin is, they're also active on the darknet, they know about encryption and have a whole team dedicated towards the use of technology.

Whether they use Bitcoin or not probably depends on how useful it is for them in comparison to other systems. In the muslim world you have something called 'hawala' which is used to transfer funds, I've read some articles that terrorists also use this system.

I bet that LOADS of TERRORISTS have one time or another gotten hold of millions of dollars. Does that make dollar a bad thing? Absolutely not. Terrorists could as well trade in natural resources such as gold or diamond, does that make gold and diamond bad things? Absolutely not.

I never though about this because i don't care what value their use to fund theirs terrorist actions. It doesn't matter, we should worry about their funding source only.
