When you buying cryptocurrency there are two type of terms, long term and short term. If the that I invested is long term I will sell it in the future maybe in a 2-3months because I know the price will continue growing but if the coin is for short term, I will sell it in a very short period of time, which you can mostly earn 10-25% profit.

to me i think that in current time i think long term investment will more profitable. because i think those people who do not have experience in long term investment, i think they will lose money, because we can see a huge fluctuation in the price of bitcoin and it can put pressure on then if the price goes down, so i will like to say that long term investment will be too much profitable as compare to short term investment.

Yes you are right long term investment is a better idea because if they will keep for long term then they will taste the real profit from bitcoin. In short term a person cannot predict that what will happen a minute later and after a day while in long term everyone is sure that the price will increase.

I usually checkout the % of profit, but trading needs proper attention and perfect time to sell or buy. % of profit is not just a random number you pick in your mind but you need to examine the market rate to select the appropriate time for selling.

What's quite surprising is that I've kept records of multiple coins from back in the beginning of June which is just a few days, but they all topple 14% increase and the lowest is BTC, which I would expect since it's the trading platform for all coins. Just pretty cool to see the rest move and fluctuate.

Yeah especially a few days ago when almost all alt coins registered upward trends for a while a day after btc price went up again. Though now things are pretty normal again with the fluctuations. Wonder when will ripple shoot up again though. It's one of the coins that didn't go with the flow when the altcoins all went positive

Ripple just has so much circulating supply that isn't circulating. I wouldn't expect that to rise by too much due to the fact that less than 40% of the actual coin is in trading. It's definitely a good coin to trade and to have in your portfolio, but I wouldn't expect anything from XRP for a few more months-year.

When do you decide to sell?

Is it a sat, a % of profit, or even a randomly thought up number in your head?

I am new to trading Crypto, but when I traded other stocks, I would aim for a certain percentage.
This seems much easier to hit that percentage, but much more risky.

How do you determine when to let it go?
That will depend on the demand and prediction by the experts, since it is very unpredictable actually. But one for sure which I would preferred to sell it when bitcoin reach 100,000$ I know its too impossible now but who knows, that might gonna be happen one day Grin

Well I do and most of traders do sell their coins depend on what they goal is. When you do short trading, you are most likely to sell for less time and market movement let's say for example of a certain coin pumps +1-5 percent, it's good to sell for short traders. For long term traders, they do sell when they get 100%+ profit from their capital.

Its a setup of margin if you are short trader if you seen the price stable i think you still need to wait for long time before you can sell them.
And i think you need a large capital just to get a benefits of the small percentage you set 1 to 5 base on what you said. because if you are invest in small amount you can only make profit of small amount.
Find a good margin just a tools from bitcoinwisdom i am using them just to analyze what will be the next movement of the price of bitcoin..

I have found it hard to find good reliable research on some coins so I don't invest in them. But if I could find better information that could change.

Can you mention the altcoin you want to know about? Basically news and various related infos can be easily available on a particular alts, but very new coins takes time to be researched. So then you have to do it yourself, analyse it and make your decisions to buy and then sell at your target point.

I don't think we can really get the perfect time for entry and the perfect time for exit on any trade. I base mine on the chosen altcoin's history to have an idea about what would be the preferable exit point. I don't really make a target amount anymore as i never really hit any of those with previous trades.

all traders do the same thing they will buy coins and when the time comes and there target amount Cross people will sell coins and make money this is trading. But which altcoins you are doing trading can tell us? It will help us to do some research on that coins and suppose if it is worth to trade we also follow your strategy. And for bitcoins, this is not a good time to sell your coins. Wait for some time you will make more profit.

It's depend actually. I will sell my coins when it reach my target price, i'm usually trading on a new and good prospect altcoin. Follow their news and update about the cryptocoins and when you know something good, i will hold it first and when the time comes, i will sell all coins and you will gain so many % profits.

Where do you find their news and updates at? On their websites?

I have found it hard to find good reliable research on some coins so I don't invest in them. But if I could find better information that could change.

Can you mention the altcoin you want to know about? Basically news and various related infos can be easily available on a particular alts, but very new coins takes time to be researched. So then you have to do it yourself, analyse it and make your decisions to buy and then sell at your target point.

No coin in particular. I was very lucky and invested in DGB before the hype began and got out before the dump started, but I was very concerned, I couldn't find a lot of good information about it.

Currently, I'm reading on different coins and trying to see where the next decent margin could be. It's the luck of the draw Smiley

I don't have a big earning in terms of bitcoin, for which I have decided to hold it as much possible to make a better earning through it and make life better in the future. Have targeted to hold the earnings at least for a minimum of around 5 years time and sell after that.

First you have to observe and combine your prediction with the news . which to buy and of course to sell.
you have the criteria and target how much profit would you like to gain. Everything risky so you have to decide wisely.!
