When will Religions die?

As long as humans fear their mortality, religions will not cease to exist. That's basically their ultimate purpose - and the one they got left anyway. Most of what remains of them is explaining WHY we are here rather than how. People, for all claims they want freedom, need some structure to their lives.

The other one is explaining WHAT happens after death. In almost every religion, the human soul carries on in some form or another. The thought that you'd just cease to exist is frightening to most people.

Science and secularism has pretty much chipped away at most of religions other functions. You no longer offer sacrifices to get well, you go to the doctor, etc...

A very correct remark, But I believe that this is more relevant to sects of some kind, and not to religion. Even in ancient times, other people were anchors. They are priests. Often prayed to God for the health of the patient.

The religions are already dying a natural death. Look at the western nations. A majority of the population is either atheist, agnostic or non-religious. Even in the oriental nations such as China and Japan, the situation is the same.

In Eastern countries only those who do not believe in God live in a communist regime and believe and they can not or can not be banned. The fact is that the whole world starts to conduct very bad debates about religion and atheism. And the impression is that there are more believers than atheists.

Not all the Eastern nations are communist. Look at Japan. The population there is only moderately religious, and the communist party has never been in power there. The same goes for other nations, such as Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Religions will never die, it has been around for centuries and probably won't stop growing. There are a lot of religion in the world, and the spread of it won't stop because people believe in it, and I do too. I'm a Catholic, and I believe in the Holy Bible, whether or not you judge a people by their religion or not, Religion is a way to have a better life, IF you actually apply it and make real actions to the world.

Religions now are mainly followed in third-world countries. In most advanced countries, just the poor ones and the people with low cultural level are religious.

If you look at wealthy people, in general, they are not religious. They just think about their business and their health.

Of course, there are exceptions.
For example, in the U.S. born-again Christians are quite common, even among celebrities like Chcuk Norris, Mr T and Bob Dylan.

You should start to put less importance on your personal bias and more on people around you.

Faith is as important to personal well being as is mastery of trade of choice. Corporation is natural extension of ones bussiness and religion is natural extension of ones faith. Sign of intellect through which we learned to organize and act in unison.

It is also quite human, that some individuals in the past have failed and put their own personal agenda before well being of others.

So to answer you question. They will not end and you are wrong, since you fail to understand human nature.

Religion first and foremost is value system. If you destroy it, you can either degrade human beings to animals or worse, though socialistic approach, dehumanize them entirely, since all the moral battles they were supposed to face will be fought for them by totalitarian system.

But this is just only my way of thinking about in belief of others. or unless times come that there will be one religion in the end

Look at poor countries like mine, people for believing in god they make lots of children... they do not plan family. Do not worry about having good conditions of life. They spend a lot of time in the church

Religion is impossible to delete it is nature of humans to believe in such thing as God, we have different religion and beliefs and it's really impossible that religions will die. And one thing it's not the religion itself who makes a lot of damage it's the human itself that made that decision to destroy anything.

Though religion did brought a lot of hate throughout history with so much bloodshed, it also brought a lot of people to becoming better persons. It's not about religion it self i believe, since for me, religion teaches us not to hate and not to harm others which is exactly the opposite of how some people understand it. Religion for me would endure as long as there are believers no matter what happens

I am yet to encounter a religion that don't try to explain what happens to the soul after death. Even Buddhism which some people label as almost atheistic acknowledge reincarnation, with the Buddhist's goal being able to skip reincarnation to be "one" with some sort of "world-spirit".

So though some might not put much focus on the how we got here and why, almost every attempt to explain what happens after death.

i think religions will end if there is no one will believe with that religions and they leaving the religions without any reason to stay. but its depend on what people thinking about one religions, as long as religions don't make any wrong decision and still giving a good reason for people, then religions will stay longer.

Ask yourself this first. "Does Religion really need to die?" I cannot even imagine how you arrived at that question. First of all, no religion is forcing anyone to join them or believe them. A person has a right and his own reason to think for the best for himself, he has the option whether to join or not, whether to believe or not.

I also believe that the existence of Religion is a big help to humanity and the society, I view Religion as a "guide" in living a meaningful life.  I only see it as a guide because like I mentioned earlier, you have the option whether to follow it or not.

Many people start to wonder whether they need a religion or they will have enough faith in God and every year more and more people refuse to be slaves to their religion. Thus, they will not force their children to impose religion from their very birth and it will disappear after several generations.

It is because there are abusive type of religions and people nowadays are smarter enough. Tho there are people that even if they dont have religion their fate in God is still there and remains high. A time will come and that time is now were those that will worship the lord will worship him in truth and in spirit. This word of the Lord jesus christ show the time will come when man made religions will disappear and God made religion will become supreme. Religion will disappear only when people learn to think. Those who believe in God, they do not even speak your own words. They say or quote from the Bible or the words of the sermons. They have their own opinions so they are easy to influence religious preachers.

Religion has been created to ease the worries of each one of us about death and what comes after it, who created our universe, etc. It has brought up a lot of philosophic questions and has taught people about different and effective ways to live, usually in a way of peacefulness and "love". The thing is, while the idea itself is harmless, people keep using religion as a tool to discriminate, hate, and in general, make the other party seem inferior, while also using it for ecomonical and political reasons for their own selfish reasons. Just like any other idea, it can be used in the wrong way, and it has, many times, but just like all ideas, it's not something that can simply die, especially in such a diverse and multicultural planet with 7 billion people where each one of us has different opinions and values. Blame the people, not the idea.

I completely agree with you. Religion helped the humanity to face the hard true called death and how to deal with it, the religion itself like any other ideia don't generate bad things for itself who do bad things are some individuals.

Answering the question I believe that religion will die as soon as man surpass the fear that create the religion when humanity evolve to become immortal or transcend itself to a better being.
