Bitshares: Margin Trading and Swap contracts on the DEX discussion

Bitshares is the longest running decentralised cryptocurrency exchange and one of the pioneers of collateralised stablecoins. The Bitshares DEX provides a sophisticated set of trading tools already but through this article I hope to be able to add to the discussion on adding one key component which I think would very much benefit the ecosystem- Trading on Margin via an active P2P lending market.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Because now BitShares is on place 33 of CMC, what if the majority would be stable coins? How is that represented on sites like CMC? bitUSD>=1.75*BTS so it would be much more logical to have a much larger portion in stable coin than in the core token… but CMC and others would display say $154M Mcap of bitUSD and $270M of BTS.

Bitshares is a steady coin project, which is very worth holding in the medium and long term, and the price will rise steadily. This is the perfect trend of a value coin.

Agree with above statement, bitCNY & bitUSD should be promoted properly, as a way of collateral and stable coin..

What will happen to those bitshares that are stuck on Bittrex? what Will bittrex do, dump it or burn it?

You have until the 5th of November to withdraw these BTS. I assume if anyone would miss the deadline they still would accomodate the incidental manual withdrawal.

Bittrex moved back from wallet removal:

No media committee, but a worker proposal could create one. BitShares can be considered the first decentralized autonomous community.

This year is a hard one for all altcoins.
However, I believe that eventually we all can see lights at the end of tunnel, in fact, the end of this year and longterm bearish market.
Please be patient and be positive in your thoughts.

I really can`t explain the low price of BTS, as there doesn`t exist more fully equipped DEX out in the market.
BTS offers already ready product, what DEX could offer.
What are we missing to explode?

This simple point was reason I made this thread. Trying to list all the coins at each gateway, that's hard to keep up with.

I suggest to turn off computers and come back days later when the current Hash War end.
I don't think we should stay infront computer screens and deal with unexpected massive pressure from the War which we are not participated in.
