That talk was maybe the worst of the entire conference and he had no idea what he was talking about.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=8oeMsfm5D5s#t=533s

The issue is not price, but freedom.

I elaborate more on this here.

His talk had nothing to do with bitcoin and was totally valueless.

He did manage to throw in the word bitcoin a few times , probably cause it said somewhere on his computer "say bitcoin at least 3 times"    Smiley

But it was somewhat interesting in parts. He mentioned money as debt and if you really want to learn about that look for  "Money as debt" series on Youtube.

This Lecture and to some extent  David Birchs  lecture are not exactly about bitcoin but about Economy,Business,Psycology of the consumers etc... all which have an effect on the future of bitcoin.

Changing dynamics of financial crime in the digital era

"In America concerns have been raised in the last year over Bitcoin, a decentralized, peer-to-peer network that can be used for making anonymous payments. US Senator Schumer called Bitcoin ‘a system for online money laundering and drug financing’."

It's an oblique reference only.. but as far as I know this is the first acknowledgement from AMD of the Bitcoin mining phenomenon which is for now at least, dominated by their products.

"BTC is not a crime"

That's unfair!  but thanks Smiley
There are so many better articles from the Bitcoin community that don't get a mention here because they don't quite fit the intent of this thread.

One of the criteria I usually use is that if the audience for an article is primarily outside the existing bitcoin community - it's worth posting here.. but it's often not clear anyway.

Seven pages(!) in today's Dagens Næringsliv, the largest financial newspaper in Norway.  The journalist has done good research and even visited the European Bitcoin conference in Prague.  Very good article.  Paper only, unfortunately.  One of five headlines on the front page.

Sjå http://bitmynt.no for veksling av bitcoin mot norske kroner.  Trygt, billig, raskt og enkelt sidan 2010.
I buy with EUR and other currencies at a fair market price when you want to sell.  See http://bitmynt.no/eurprice.pl
I support the roadmap.  If a majority of miners ever try to forcefully take control of Bitcoin through a hard fork without 100% consensus, I will immediately split out and dump all my forkcoins, and buy more real Bitcoin.

Nice Article.  Noticed only at the end that its by S3052.  On one hand it's  accurate on the other hand.. he is a bit biased....

Sorry but I do care. As much as I agree with him on the future of bitcoin, I am sick of all that bla bla of "this high will be even bigger than the last high" bullshit.
If you want to express your enthusiasm, tell that it is *your* enthusiasm. If you have proof that some country is switching to bitcoin, tell the news but don't imply to know exactly what the course might be at some date. This article is not a notable source, sorry.
