I mined PND in the old days... How can I add my old wallet address to the new wallet?

Do you still have a backup of that wallet? It's called wallet.dat

I have the wallet address only. Darnit, looks like I made a n00b mistake in the old days.

Yes, shit happens... Now your old PND are gone.

Put some pnd coins in my wallet.. Next day.... "Expected time to earn interest is 35,179 days"

I dunno if Ima make it guys... Maybe my great grand kids will live to see this day...

Then you don't have that much coins right?
Depends on what you call much..... Lol.  400k... Going to Give it another day or two and see how it goes.. Was going to grab more and make it an even 1mil, but maybe another day..
It starts off giving you a very conservative estimate, especially if they are not at least 72 hours old, but the estimate will get more realistic as it gets a little closer to staking for you.  Hang in there, if it takes longer you will get more when it does stake mine.

Ouch, sorry to hear, please everyone backup your wallet.dat and keep a copy off of your pc too.  You need your private key at least to prove to our network you are the address owner.  Wallet.dat is a small file and has everything you need to create a new PandaBank if you have to and recover all your accounts, addresses and any private keys.

Thanks for the detailed reply.... Today was about the 72 hour mark and it now says 7 days.... Seems much more reasonable now Smiley

Yeah, a week is reasonable, even with a modest amount. Happy staking!

...

I think it'd really help to have binaries to all plaforms.
I can contribute, but I don't really think people should trust me, just another stranger on the internet.

The PandaBank *is* the wallet for PND.

It is peculiar (unique?) in that it uses the "bank account" metaphore for your fundings, that's closer to Sixpack Joe's idea of money, than the regular wallets.

It also has the pretty neat "Hybrid Mode" which can sync you much faster with the network on first start. With enough bandwidth you can sync the whole chain in minutes instead of days (can't guarantee it works as intended on Windows, as I only use linux, and use Classic Mode)

Yes it makes sense to use the "bank" metaphor as wallets don't normally pay interest and in the not too distant past, banks used to pay interest.

What I'm really wondering is to what extent the Panda Bank differs from the master node and coin staking that is all the rage right now?

There appear to be 2 main differences. There is no minimum stake and the interest rate is low but will continue forever. Whereas many of these master node coins have high minimum stakes and high returns in the short term but lower in the long turn.

I don't really know what these "master node coins" do, and what they are, as I was out of cryptos for 2 years (came back for panda)

But really, that's all there is: 2.5% annual interest on all staking coins.

There are no "special" nodes in PND, with this regard.
