to start masternode, it's wallet must have the exact amount of 500 coins?
what if there are more coins in the wallet, say 510, is that a problem?

Send exact amount 500 and you should be good
There just has to be a single 500 CRAVE transaction to start the node.

Obviously, when it gets rewards, the balance will increase, but there must that single 500 CRAVE transaction in the wallet at all times for the node to operate.  That's why you must be careful if you accidentally have staking turned on in that wallet.  Because that 500 CRAVE could get staked and broken up, and bam, now the node won't work.

How to deactivate staking?

Staking=0 in conf file. Correct?

Your wallet should be encrypted for safety reasons.  When you go to start your node, the wallet should either be unlocked, or type something like masternode start-many <your password> in the console.

sorry for so many questions.

i unlock it for staking, but it doesnt stake as in my conf file i have staking=0

I've turned off the staking in the configuration file, same as yours: staking=0

My wallet is encrypted, i've already unlocked it: craved walletpassphrase MyPassPhrase 86400000

but when I am trying to start masternode: craved masternode start, it is complaint:

Code:
not capable masternode: Could not find suitable coins!

I do own 510 coins. It is a single transaction (sent from an exchange to my masternode wallet).

And when I checked: craved masternode status, it gaves me:

Code:
{
    "vin" : "CTxIn(COutPoint(0000000000, 4294967295), coinbase )",
    "service" : "MyIP",
    "status" : 2,
    "pubKeyMasternode" : "MyMasternodePubKey",
    "notCapableReason" : "Wallet is locked."
}

But the wallet was already unlocked: craved getinfo:

Code:
"unlocked_until" : 1585233546

Perhaps it is must be exact 500 coins, and not encrypted.

I am gonna try now

EDIT:

tried craved masternode start MyPassPhrase resulting an error too:
Code:
not capable masternode: Could not find suitable coins!

Yes, the single there needs to be a transaction of EXACTLY 500 CRAVE.  Nothing else will work

Follow rigorously the guide. And as Sothman stated, you need to send exactly 500, no more, no less.

Not less than 100 thousand! Arise from the ashes! More anonymity these days! Big brother is watching you!

By the way, I liked this logo more. It would look good on a really minted coin, is not it? Nothing extra.

Hi,

I use the windows wallet with wine on my mac.

It's doing well, but I would like to setup 4 masternodes and don't
know how to deal with the cmd files etc. cause I don't think wine will
interpret them correctly (app-folder data structure).

Any ideas about?

1) When will a MAC Wallet be available?
2) Is there a way with wine and cmd?

Maybe I have to setup a virtual windows...

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone!
New release: v2.0.3.6

*Fix network troubles after checking masternodes

Now bad masternodes will be listed, but with unactive status. This nodes will be excluded from the payout list.
Update your PoS wallets. Masternodes don't need this update.

When you run the wallet through Wine, where is the conf folder located (with wallet.dat, crave.conf and the chain) ?

Hi,

Yes, follow the Masternode setup guide for a VPS. You can use the precompiled 2.0.3.4 wallet for raspberry pi (ARM 32 bits) if you dont want to compile.

Maybe you can add "sudo apt-get install libgmp3-dev" under
https://github.com/CooleRRSA/crave/blob/master/doc/build-unix.txt -> Dependency Build Instructions: Ubuntu & Debian

if you compile the wallet on ubuntu 14.04 and you don't have this package installed, it throws this error: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgmp

It's located here:

/Users/USER/Wine Files/drive_c/users/USER/Application Data/Crave/crave.conf

USER = My local mac username

Trying now to do it on virtual box with windows 10,
but thing is:

Is it possible to run multiple nodes with vps and controlling/seeing them through the windows wallet?
As I don't know the data structure of "craved" service for multiple instances.
That would be awesome to know Smiley Cause I have to setup a VPS anyway...

Or would it be the same like this tutorial: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1964765.msg19605633#msg19605633
but instead of one "crave.conf" with a "masternode.conf" containing all nodes?
