can you please paste example conf file?

Here's one line out of my file (important numbers slightly edited):
mn01 111.222.33.44:9999 68wSWJVWYjBCpZuh6wSa5nVPtH9YD1MWG28JQVvVvTHbwdgpAhf df460535f5e971b25a49d4fafc8e6229d8d694a09aad8df73f0581ec1573cdc4 0 BvQg5JYE2AX8Kd2X5QYF3zFQxsrZUFRkjp 100

The last two params are the reward address and payout percent.  Repeat the same address and percent for each line in your file.

Masternode keep shutting down minutes after I start it, goes on list and then goes off.

Time up keeps saying 0, but active=1

I have to restart but it won't stay on.

Ubuntu 14 VPS for MN

Anyone have a fix?

Also what version of Crave are you running, the latest version is fine but the symptom you're describing was happening to me two releases ago.  Make sure you have installed 2.1 on the MN as well as the controller wallet.

If the MN has been started it should say "masternode started remotely" when you run ./craved masternode debug

I found out my masternode has been trying to sync this whole time, it might be firewalls like a previous reply suggested but I doubt it because I installed crave on a fresh ubuntu instance.

I will further investigate, thanks.

So if i have for example Crave v2.0.4.3 , i just have to run the new Crave v2.1.0.0 .exe and after that add to the .conf file the new lines ?

In the masternode.conf, not in the conf file.

Hi,

I'm in step 2 of setting up my first masternode guide and I'm stuck at:

11 - Enter "Address" - "YOUREXTERNALIP:PORT" (your external white ip and port for masternode)

What port am I suppose to use or ideal?

Thanks

The one you set in your conf file with the "port=xxxx" line. Default is 30104 but a lot of people use the 9999.

Thank you sir for your blazing fast reply!

Do I still have to create/open port 9999 in my router?

Anyone have a guide for running multiple MN's on a Linux system (not on a vps, but my own system)?

You have to open the port you are using, if its the 9999 then yes.

Thank you sir.

I have started my masternode but have this error from my controller wallet:

Successfully started 0 masternodes, failed to start 2, total 2
Failed to start MN1. error:could not allocate vin
Failed to start MN1. error:could not allocate vin

This is my crave.config:

port=9999
masternode=1
masternodeaddr=60.XX.XX.87.X2X:9999
masternodeprivkey=8kiXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXf9oL

Additionally, creating my controller wallet and this is what I inputted:

Alias - MN1
Address - 60.XX.XX.87.X2X:9999
Privkey - 8kiXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXf9oL
TxHash - b590XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXlk019
Output Index - 0

Am I doing anything wrong in any steps and why does it says failed to start 2? I'm only creating 1 masternode...

My status is Active with first 10 minutes after starting.
The time of reward is random for my masternode?

Just create a new address in your controller wallet, send 500, create a mn2 folder that looks like your first node, but with the new privkey and port info in your .conf.  Add it to your masternode.conf, and make the mn wallet is running.  Then start it from the controller.

I believe that's in the guide?

Why after 30 min was running masternode in my controller wallet -> Crave network status "Active (secs)" is 00m:00s?
