Hi guys, I have problems with my DAS wallet.

When I try to unlock it, there is an error that says "Assertion Failed"

I tried to unistall and install the wallet, and when I put in my wallet backup, the problem is the same..

How I can resolve it? And the backups in the backups folder of the wallet, can be used for replace the original wallet.dat?

Thanks in advance for replying.

It seems Truckman has done it again: unclear update and no replies to his community or devs trying to support. I hope he steps up his communication.

New wallet same as old wallet on both of my machines. Running new updated wallet on two laptops, one with win 10 and a separate laptop with win 7. Both wallets will confirm received funds but funds sent will not confirm.  Huh

wow that is a lot of bs. I wanted to get some DAS, but it is just to much uncertainty at the moment. Pools not working properly and dev issues. Be back when things are sorted out I guess.

This is part of the gamble.... Right now, you can buy DAS cheaply due to the ongoing issues. Later, when everything is sorted and settled down, the price will be way much higher than today.. Or it might collapse as nothing will be sorted.
This is a gamble to make 10000% or lose 90%.

Agreed, the best time to buy is when there is turmoil. It IS riskier though, so be careful.

That being said....we definitely need some details on the new update, it doesn't seem to be working so well.

LOL, this is so true.  I gad a couple DAS MN's a few months back, but ended up selling because of the uncertainty.  Checking back in, it appears that the problems are the same.  But this time, it looks like the community is moving to take the coin over.  I didn't go through and read the last 10 pages or so, but I'm still a lurker in the Slack, and there is a dev there talking about working on DAS.

If this happens, and the chain can be forked, etc . . then I would probably buy back in.  But I agree, what a gamble!!  And this is part of the reason why crypto is just so damn exciting. Good luck on the project guys.

After the CP Patriot post I was thinking of getting out and selling my masternode coins, but then the price dropped to 9 cents and I said screw it I'll just hang on. Now it's back up and I could sell at a small profit, but Truckman posted an update (which is probably why it jumped back up). I decided that I was going to compare the source code in between versions. If it was just a few simple changes then I would get out and post FUD. But it looks like he did make quite a few changes in between versions. Lots of new code. I just don't get why he can't give better more frequent updates, or get some other people involved. Either way I'm going to hang on to my masternode for now and sell earned coins when the price is higher than I bought in for. Eventually it will pay for itself (so far 200 coins have been earned from it in ~  2.5 months).

a coin takeover is probably warranted. It's is such a liability to just depend on a one man team. The take over needs to be done by preferably a team consisting of more than one person. Now question will be, is it best to fork. Which means everyone who owns DAS will also own the forked coins. That means Truckman will have a significant big share of the forked coins as well. Or just take the code and start a new coin and chain altogether.

DAS is a DASH clone.  So if you weren't going to fork DAS (which would be kind of pointless to me if your issue is the Dev) then starting a new coin from scratch would probably be easier from the DASH codebase rather than the DAS.  The best thing for this coin is for it to not be a one man show, but so far that's not been well received (not clear if there weren't enough people that were qualified and willing to help or the Dev wanted it to remain a one man show).

Please update, wallet, daemon!!!

DAS v. 0.12.1.5 Released

So if I go an update my wallet and such will this effect my masternode at all? I just don't want to screw anything up since it has been finally running consistently.

I think DAS can be great, but there needs to be a team. This one man show is getting old. No communication just, random updates whenever. Get some help man. There are people in here who can and are willing to help you. Else I feel DAS future depends to much on one person and that is a serious liability(hurricane and what not). I'm passing on investing for now.

Could you post an guide or at least a few line about how to update a Linux VPS?
Now we have some nice step by step guide about installing them, but how to update using your source?
