Could you add MMC?

Block explorer which shows total amount of coins: http://www.chainbrowser.com/memorycoin/
Exchange: https://bter.com/trade/mmc_btc

Thanks.

Yes! Please add MemoryCoin 2.0 This is new innovative coin from the developer of ProtoShares. MMC is the next big thing in CPU coins.

Yeah, please add MMC. It now has a block explorer, an exchange and a few pools.
Please add MMC 2.0 soon.

+1 // Please add MemoryCoin 2.0

As of the website -- coinmarketcap.com should show true market capital, not fakes from any website. Please take popular exchanges into account only.

Agree. Let's remove Nxt from the Coinmarketcap. It will be a problem of CMC who doesn't list one of the most popular cryptocoins, people will just move to its competitor who list all currencies.

Actually, I got more evidence.

Vol vs price. It appears the exchange is faking.

Can someone explain this?  I'm not sure what the left side is from and what is being faked.

The left side is simply the list of accounted blocks taken from the NXT blockchain explorer here - http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=10.

I think that our detractor has forgotten that this cryptocurrency is used for other things beyond simply trade on an exchange.

Also, with coins which come in to existence with 1 billion coins already made you cant take last 20-1000 trades and multiply that price using the rest of volume in order to come up with market cap, that is messed up in every way.

I 100% agree. They should get rid of Bitcoin too coz of exactly the same point.

Well this issue was raised with ripple evaluation as well, go further back to see why people were upset with its evaluation too.

Bitcoin evaluation is not perfect due to some coins lost to forgotten passwords, lost HDD's and similar events, however its MUCH closer to real evaluation then NXT.

1billion coins with $30+ million market cap in first week priced off single exchange ran by same people who own it...

Mark my words you will start seeing this scam more and more, just take a look at Mastercoin...and more will follow. This needs to be addressed or coinmarketcap will loose its relevance in the community.

Ok NXT market cap formula is 999,997,986 X $ 0.037 = $ 36,968,943

Using this formula the moment it hits $1 you will effectively rank it higher then Litecoin on market cap.
Do you honestly not see a problem with formula used in this particular case?

There is no problem with the formula, you clearly do not understand what market cap is supposed to show. Any of the founders who hold a large amount of coins can sell them whenever they want. If their coins become worth $10 million and they only want to sell 1000NXT that is up to them. Market cap reflects the overall market consensus of the value of the coin based on who sells and who buys.

What about Satoshi who mined almost 1 million bitcoins? Or the Litecoin addresses that hold hundreds of thousands of Litecoin and haven't had any activity in them for a year etc. According to your own argument that would also make market cap invalid  Cheesy

You must be retarded if this is a real question you are asking.

Satoshi mined them, that takes human hours, research, time, electricity and resources. Also early adopter risk which he chose to exercise to its max by holding long term past the first oportunity of a break even on costs. AT this point a lot of miners sell if not most of them and only some risk takers go on further seeking higher return over time while exposing themselves to risk as an investor would. This is why his coins and all those coins sitting dormant in LTC wallets for a year or two are totally worth what they are worth.

NTX is brought in to existence by a magic switch, one key press and then handed out to 70+ people to now hold on and sell on their own exchange were if I am the owner only FEE's would stop me from over trading and falsifying price point but since fees go back to me i can just create as many accounts as i want to pump this baby to $100 making its market cap greater then Bitcoin in a week.

Just because they are rating at 36million right now its ok?

Where do you draw the line?

This is clearly a price discovery mechanism EXPLOIT engineered and executed according to plan to the T.  More will follow if we dont fight this crap

Why in the hell did you guys add NXT back?

Its a total scam with rigged exchange, i dare you to go to this exchange, so called exchange from which you are picking up the price feed for marketcap site : http://dgex.com/  then click around and honestly ask yourself if you would want anyone putting their btc there.

Fake volume, so I can start my own exchange and mod some shitcoin and just price it to what ever i want?
wow come on, this cant be tolerated. Coins which are not accepted at at least 2 exchanges or traded on exchange set up by coin creators for the sole purpose of trading just that one coin, cant be trusted with price discovery this is absurd.

unknown amount held by creators & created out of thin air then sold for real bitcoins to naive people who believe it is worth 20+ million $ in first few weeks , common if this coin stays on longer more abominations will follow.

Please do all the new traders in this community a favor help them avoid this nonsense at least until this garbage is priced by a proper price discovery mechanism of the real market, not single coin exchange setup by people behind the coin itself.

Thanks

It is completely ridiculous that coinmarketcap lists currencies like NXT and Mastercoin considering that they are traded in exchanges that illiquid and possibly completely manipulated.
?
Let's just look at NXT,  have you seen the DGEX exchange?  Would anyone in his right mind send BTC over there?

Look as mastercoin,  running a google spreadsheet is not the same as a real exchange.

What if I come up with an Open Transaction currency.  I'll issue 10 billion shares and price is at .5 cents.... does that automatically get me on the top of the list?

There's something wrong with the calculation of DMD's market cap: the site says there are 191,902 DMD but, according to diamondblocks.info we are at block # 216,086. So, there should be around 225,090 DMD (since each block has on average 1500/1440 DMD to account for random bonus blocks).

Not a huge difference, but it'd be good if it was corrected.
