Yeap, Monero did 88 useless commits and brought new bugs to the code. While BCN guys made 3 important steps to the next level technology.
But they are not as conceited as MRO's ones

Indeed, BCN developers made only few changes in code but they've made a significant changes. No doubt XMR developers have also made lots of important changes to their coin improvements. I think smooth and other developers have made a lot for their coin, I can only admire their willing to improve XMR.

But there wouldn't be any XMR, FCN or QCN if there wasn't Bytecoin. I hope that XMR fans at least in token of respect will stop FUDing BCN.

In conclusion, step by step despite all gossips Bytecoin works steadily and the only disadvantage it's got is that BCN doesn't have gui wallet.

Gliss, I think it's time to remove that unacceptable without any proof designation. Please, fix everything asap.

Hey, Just wanted to say that I really enjoy coinmarketcap.

I always keep it open as a browser tab and check it dozens of times throughout the day.

I would suggest better charts as my improvement recommendations but other than that, great work!

So do I. Coinmarketcap is great and it keeps me up to date about all changes in price, etc.

Hope they are going stop this unnecessary dispute here and fix the situation with BCN/XMR. Indeed, it's not the thread for discussing which coin is better.

When Bitcoin appeared only a couple of people were mining it and everybody seems to be ok with that. Meanwhile, Bytecoin was mined by hundreds.  Thoughts?

Im just so puzzled cuz...2 year history, expanding mining teams,  strong developers.... seems like everything is ok but then coin appears on site as "significantly premined" and trolls flood the thread.... wtf?

Can you not at least pretend to be different people instead of the same idiot running troll accounts? You write like a Russian with a poor grasp of proper English grammatical constructs, and you use the same acronyms and linguistic style for everything. Obvious shills are obvious.

Rethink your smart ass, asshole. English is not my mother tongue but it does not change the fact that you're an arrogant schmuck thinking a better English makes you smart, or right, or whatever.

I am not different people and I am not Russian. Though I wish I was Russian, you know. I would ask my ex-KGB uncle Boris to find you and teach you a lesson of being nice to people.

Hi Gliss,

Can you add BTC38 to the volume calculation please? They have NXT/CNY and NXT/BTC

Regarding BCN and the premine, I think we should stick with the definition of "mining before publicly launched".  And BCN was not heard of publicly until earlier this year.

If there is something to debate here, it would be weather or not launches on the deep web should be considered public.  I'm leaning towards no at this point, but feel free to debate it.  It's good to hash out definitions now.

Hi Gliss,

Can you add BTC38 to the volume calculation please? They have NXT/CNY and NXT/BTC

http://btc38.com/trade_en.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=nxt

Thanks  Grin

NTX/CNY is already in, but they don't expose an endpoint in their API for NXT/BTC (that I know of)

Hi Gliss,

NEMStake has been added, which is great, but it isn't presentable in the format that everyone knows the pricing in. A NEMstake is worth about 30,000 NXT at the moment as that is what it is traded in. Could you add Nxt as an option in the display currencies to help with this please? So you have USD, BTC, EUR ... NXT on the drop down list. This will become more and more useful as you add assets from the Nxt Asset Exchange.

Thanks  Grin

Hang tight for the new assets section which will show the asset prices in the native currency.

Thanks

Hi Gliss,

How hard would it be to add the daily trade volume of the Nxt asset Exchange to the Nxt 24hr volume? Nxt is being used to buy assests and not just other coins and so the coinmarketcap picture is incomplete at the moment.

In the last 24hrs, there has been 1.4Million Nxt traded on the Asset Exchange that isn't captured in the current 24hr volume. It would add an extra $88,000 dollars to the $97,000 that you are showing and give a complete picture of the amount of NXT changing hands.

I can put you in touch with the webmaster of nxtreporting.com if you need to ask any questions about implementing this.

I've said that if you will make your opinion by using that judgement, you can mark BTC as a premined. But you will never do this stupid action.

It is funny that you guys talking about premined status and your main argument is that "it was announced two years ago but mining was started only 6 mounth ago".

You know, it looks like you are ready to die for that not-so-clever fact. You can repeat it as many time as you want, but you shouldn't forget that a lot of difrferent digital currencies were in the same situation (like Bitcoin). Moreover, maybe in the same situatuion was Monero (but they just didn't tell you about that). And no one smart here is not going to mark XMR or BTC as premined...  but you should realize, that since BCN is marked as a premined, it means that he is not in equal position to other altcoins which easially could be premined too. It's unfair and it could bring our digital and amazing community to the crisis... but if you are so greedy you can continiue to promotie the greatest lie in the world.

Sincerely yours, Green tea with no goddamn sugar.

I agree, i don't support disputes like that either, but when you see something CLEARLY UNFAIR you just try to do something about it.

So, along with others here i would prefer this premined status to be removed, because it has nothing to do with BYTECOIN.

That's what I am trying to tell. I don't care much about XMR guys FUDing BCn but when it  affects BCN status I can't be silent.
After all what BCN developers have done to CryptoCurrency world, it's just unfair. Poor that XMR guys use FUD to promote their coin.
Neither Fantomcoin nor Quazarcoin don't fud about BCN, only Monero does.

There is one specific group of people claiming that Bytecoin was premined. All these people are suppotring Monero instead and as we all have noticed already, everything referring to Bytecoin's success makes them extremely annoyed.
 It is understandible.
Competition is hard, especially when your coin is a fork and it's developers have no idea about making proper updates and maintaining it.
Competition gets harder when you know that your competitor is that one-and-only original cryptonote currency and its developers are the only ones who understand how the technology works because they created it.
Im am highly disappointed with the methods Monero supporters use. When you see another coin doing well you should think how you can make your coin better. Spreading falsehhood about competitors is not the way.

Bytecoin devs do care about long-term technology elaboration, thanks to them we have a currency without bugs and GUI miner. They've updated bin files because of wallet and node API implementation. They do those significant changes that matter

Nice to see BCN at the top 10 list. I am sure after substantial update BCN would move to a higher position.

Most heavily premined coins end up at the top 10 for a while. Thankfully, nobody cares about the top 10 by marketcap, and they look at the top 10 by volume.

The market has already rejected your premined scamcoin.

Volume doesn't always mean that coin is great, so do marketcap list. I'd advise you to analyze one coin's position by all classifications.

"By classifications"? What do you mean?

I was trying to tell that there are different characteristics of coins that described on CMC.
CMC classify coins by features: price, volume of the coin and even there's a graph that shows changes of the price during last week.

The evidence that confirm it wasn't premined is here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.msg6066486#msg6066486

You can see that the h/r is high enough but not as high as nowadays because the community increased.
Btw, even after DStrange have begun BCN thread there were a few people to know about it.
So, if you were not at the beginning that doesn't mean its premine/instaminem.

As I've already mentioned
Quote
the coin was simply under conventional business radars
that's why there are some mining team who were in the right time in the right place to know about BCN.

I doubt this situation is a premine as the definition of premine is that it was mined before the official launch.
So, a deepweb launch followed by 2 years of mining is something else but, definitely, not a premine.

I am disappointed that ''two stars of shame'' as somebody has called them haven't been removed.
That's so weird that just because one person FUDing BCN without any proofs coinmarketcap have added those stars. How's that possible ?

If there's a dispute about BCN being premined or not, you'w better to make your research.
But I would like to mention that Cryptonote have official announced that Bytecoin was launched in 2012
You can find this on their web as well as descriptions of other CN-based coins

It must be fixed! I can't understand people's intention to lie about such a good coin.

Yes I think it should be separate.  Otherwise, that would be like adding all volume from the LTC markets at Mintpal and Cryptsy to the LTC volume.
