There are hundreds of Altcoins, but it's highly likely that most of them will cease to exist one day. Only the stronger coins will be needed.
Most probably coins like Ethereum, IOTA and Ripple are the most favourable Altcoins of the future.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

Alt coin was used for trading and some advertisement so i predict a 99% chance that it could be used by many more peoples because if you say altcoin it is ethereum, dogecoin, waves, etc.

the more coin the more chances by winning.

I am pretty sure that bitcoin starts a new age! But altcoins still have their own advantages. Only a market with competition is a living and convincing and reliable market! Grin

Most of the alt coins project are looking very good but due to the noise made by bitcoin at this moment they don't get the deserved attention but they will in the future. As all know there is no chart with a continuous rising trend.

So for me the short answer  is yes, they do have a future. And if you can jump on in the beginning of the project you can get some nice profit

Altcoins do really have a future. Just months ago
Ethereum proved to be an phenomenal alternative,
according to https://www.tokens24.com/coin/ethereum/
Just grab the opportunity, ETH is great for trading.

Some altcoins have future, others don't have. I think altcoins that focus on anonymity will likely have more chance to survive

Im confident that not all will have a future, only the fittest will survive, but we dont know just yet.

I would probably bet on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple or NEO   Grin

They all have future, but how? Some of them will bring you little profits while some of them make you next rich person. This is the main difference between the projects and coins. Not all of them would worth holding.

Hmhmm if i am think 🙄 we should not judge them, we should give them a chance to grow just like bitcoins. But I know tp myself that no one will overcome or surpass bitcoins milestone. Bitcoin is way too far from all the altcoins. And as what you've said, the lite coins and ethereum are the altcoins I can saw a potential to grow. Their value are pretty good compared to other altcoins and majority of the bounty campaigns that I've joined was paying tokens using that. And I liked them. It is good coins for me, it is not a shitcoins and scam 😶

In the beginning bitcoin didn't have media attention, and first attention was bad one, his it's used for illegal activities. I think that some alts will be here in the future, not all of them of course, but some will be here. When I already mentioned illegal, maybe we should think which coin will be suitable for that. Monero, zcash, or some other that offers more anonymity then bitcoin, that coin will have a bright future for sure. And to add that for 5 years altcoins will have big media attention too, just wait and yiy will see. same thinking bro

That will certainly be the case, but I would change your list slightly. For the alts with most potential are: ETH, EOS, IOTA, maybe ARDR and ADA. I think those coins are still in their early development phases and will likely have a long journey in front of them. We will see a lot of coins die in the coming two years thats for sure.

If Bitcoin can solve its problems like high transaction fees that you mentioned, It will be that cryptocurrency. If not we should wait for another cryptocurrecncy that will replace Bitcoin.

Clearly IOTA has a future, it is surging currently due to the backing of some major industry players.

Nobody knows about future, but in my opinion Altcoins really do have a future, eventhough we dont know what will be happened in the future, Bitcoin will always be at the top cryptocurrency, but many projects are also under Altcoins. I personally also have put hopes for ETH given that it grew so fast, and many projects are under ETH. I also think that altcoins really have a future, you could buy altcoins and sell it for a bigger profit if you know how to trade it. But we never can predict the future, everything can be happened.
