Do you set up limits for yourself?

Many gamblers do not set limitations when they gamble that is why they end up broke. As for me I see to it that the money i use in gambling is just 1% of my salary so thay if i will lose it wont be that much and the sole purpose why i gamble is for fun.

That is true, when I started I never had this rule. I always just deposit 1mbtc to gamble with. Then whenever I lose that 1mbtc I would deposit more.
Before I knew it, I already used up two bitcoins in gambling! Though this was back in 2013, so the price was just around $200 - $300, so it was not
that big like right now.

it will depend if you have lots of money then you don't need to limit yourselves but if as much as possible learn as much possible to better try to limit yourselves.

You really should limit yourself otherwiae what's to stop you gambling your whole bankroll away. Playing untill you bored is ok but how long does that take ? Do you wait till a big win ?

Good example, but we have a different kind of smokers, some people will control this habit, but they will smoke daily 1 or 2. like this some gamblers do gamble daily, but they are not fully addicted gamblers. And some people will continuously smoke every 1 or 2 hours. This is called real addiction those who come under this addiction they will suffer a lot to come out from their gambling addiction.

Don’t worry you are doing fine, there are people that despite not having too much money they still gamble and obviously they create a lot of problems in their life with that attitude, fortunately you have the right attitude and do not gamble if you do not have money to spare.

LOL. That applies for me too. I can't gamble as much as I could because of limited resources but I do set myself a limit because I can't risk gambling away money that are for my necessities. If I set a limit then that's it. Whether its a win or a lose, I will just stop because I learned my lesson well in the past that I almost lose my money for things that are more important because of my emotion that I can't control because of string of losses.

for people which have limit budget, i think its really useful if we make a limit when we playing gambling because we know when we must stop and when we can continue played. beside that, when we set a limit, we know how long we can playing gambling and if the times is up, we need to quit the games and leave the place.

I bet the usefulness of limiting oneself is not only for those players that have limited budget.  Limits or discipline should be done by all players.  This will enable them to prevent themselves from gambling addiction and be able to enjoy gambling games for lifetime without creating negative impact to their family.  Gambling is not bad but what bad in it is the inability to set limit to oneself.

All of us must set boundaries on everything. Enjoying gambling for lifetime and not getting its addiction at the same time is impossible dude. However, the limit must be set for the amount being used for gambling.

Correct, limits need to be set not only for gambling but for everything we do, for example, if you like ice cream then it is fine to eat it once in a while, but you cannot eat every day or you are going to begin gaining weight and it is possible that you could face medical problems in the future for the amount of sugar you are eating.

Gambling is made for entertainment and to get profit but it is very hard to get profit. We can skip the profit part and only play for fun. Atleast if we do this, we can be much more relieve everytme we play. We dont need to worry about losing money because we are only using a small amount for fun

It's not safe to always think about the money because it's not everything. It shouldn't be the one that dictates your actions because it could lead to catastrophic events in your life. Not only that it could lead you astray with decisions, it would make your friends wary of you, that's why we need limits.

You do have a point on which money isnt everything but when a certain person do plays gambling majority would already think of this thing which money would really be anything and would be the main target and sad to say its the reality why most people do play gambling. Limitation is always been suggested but once we are on the battlefield we would definitely forget those limitations we do set.

Even most of us here are long time gamblers already but sometime we lose control and we don't set a limit, it really once in our life and we always regret especially when the result is a lose. Honestly, as a gambler we are tested every time we gamble and it's hard to control ourselves as we also have that attitude inside where we want instant money which we are hoping we can take a big amount of winning.

Whenever my sisters or counsins forced me to gamble I just limit my self by setting a certain money. For example, I will set 100$ if I win another 100$ meaning I have a total of 200$ now. I will keep the other 100$ and keep playing with my another 100$. If I win again, it's better. I'm sure to have fun but if I lose I will don't have any regret because I didn't lose any amount at all. That's what you call we're tie. You had fun enough so you can stop there and better luck next time.

Yup. I would admit that I may not be a very responsible gambler as limit I set to myself vary from time to time. But I am not someone who gambles more than what I can afford to lose.
