We have the one of the most honest devs here. According to their plan, 70% will be air-dropped to the community, while 20% will be used for bounties, rewards and other promotions. 70% plus 20% or 90% will be given to the public. So, DeepOnion has one of the biggest airdrops I think.
I actually commented about this in another thread about Onion... it was a FUD thread criticizing the distribution method. My response back was a question about what the preferred method would be? In my opinion this is the most fair and exciting way to distribute coin. No matter what happens to Onion, I think the distribution method is a stroke of genius. If a new coin goes ICO; then mostly whales and deep pockets get the coin, if it's a pure mine then only the heavy hitters with ASIC's get it. This method of distributing by giving back to the community is really awesome and I count myself fortunate to be a part of the project. This is my first signature campaign and I'm so lucky I chose this one. As a side note, I never did get the answer from the FUD spreader on how they'd launch a coin. LOL |

I have just signed up to steemit today and trying to get used to the site there so i have not looked at what is happening all day here on bitcointalk.
I expect a lot of comment is on the price increase of deeponion on nova. Exactly as predicted, and this time there will not be many sell offs either
now most have learnt about the solidity and great future of deeponion

What if i lost my coin? Coz my OS was being upgraded and my old Deep Onion Wallet was totally gone.. and now that i installed it again i have new Deep Onion Wallet address! How am I able to retrieve my coins from my old Deep Onion wallet and/or Deep Onion wallet address?

You should have backed up your wallet.dat file, and private keys. Then you can retrieve them with a new install. Sadly, if you did not do that.....I fear you might be in a bad place. |

Did you back up your private key? That's the most important step, because computer crashes, hard drive crashes, etc, happen. That will be the only way. |

no wallet.dat file or no private key saved → it means u lost the wallet holdings. get the hdd from a usual usage and try to restore files. |

There might still be a chance if pull the plug from your computer, and then take the hard drive off, and connected to another computer and do a delete recovery. Hopefully the original files are not over written. Slime chances though, if you reinstalled your whole OS. |

Maybe you have the possibility to search your Hard Drive with some tools (even if it got formatted) to find the old wallet.dat! I think this is your only chance. Do whatever you can to restore the wallet.dat, if not, I hope you did backup your private key.. If not, I feel sorry for you |

Can you be more specific? What operating system do you use? What update did you install? During every major upgrade Windows creates so called "Windows.old" folder, that contains system and application files and data from your previous Windows installation.
