I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?

Its still promising to join ICO but for now we should let the storm to calm first before investing as of todays because of some issues we are facing now regarding on banning ICO and closing exchanges as of now.
We can still invest on current ico that is running as of now but we should really be conscious and aware on what we are investing as of now.

Like with any investment, you have to look into it and research. Although i do agree there has been a blowup in the number of ICO's just because they don't work doesn't mean they are a scam (there are some scams and you should be careful)

Just do your research and it can be very profitable, i would suggest joining a bounty campaign, so you can see how it works before investing. Knowing how their concept works can help you decide if it is a valuable venture.

i think if we investing in ico, its still promising but we need to know about the risk like others said because if we invest in random ico without knowing their project, then we have a big chance to get scam. its better we spend our time to read the details of the project so we know what their purpose for release the ico. i think the ico itself can help us to reach big profit if the project is success but its depend on how is people reach with the ico.

I think investing in ICO is still promising but just make sure the ICO you are investing are legit ones and not those goody-goody type of ICO. Try to do more research about the ICO, the white paper ad the projects in the future if it has the potential to really grow big in the coming years. If it would sell out not just to the investors but small group of people too or even regular citizens would want to invest on the ICO those mostly are the promising ones.

Exactly, without researching is a bad idea because some people are scamming after getting some amount of Cryptos. Offcourse some people are making huge profits while investing in ICO's but our task is always to research before investing into any ICO.

Problem starts when People on both the side (Investors & Project owners) look at making quick buck. If if either one of the party did the research, the risk around ICOs could be mitigated. Having said that, it is quite a young market and it will eventually stabilise. Till then, choose where you invest, look for the background of the founders, their previous track history and experience. Start your shortlist criteria to be Projects with a working product & you should be fine.

Agreed, it is like 1 of 5 ICOs is sucks, only for making quick money and scammy. In my opinion investing in ico is still promising, because its like investing for long term investment and if you are investing on a good ICO, you can gain a mass profit/income from that investment. I agree with your opinion. There are many ICO projects sold very quickly and attracted many big investors around the world because they always feel good when investing in a potential ICO project. I think if we invest in ICO projects on a long-term basis, it would be better to have a good price.

Whether ICO's are profitable or not, there is no guarantee. Try investing in regular stocks, 8 out of 10 projects fail. So why these kids expect every ico to be 100x and just hodl hodl hodl.
