It is safe as i am using it from long and not face any issue. If you want more security, you can use private browser which don't save any data and cookies. Never share your private key to anyone in any circumstances otherwise your account compromised and you can loss all your coins.

As a beginner, it's a good idea to have the knowledge of the important and correct things, and to be really know and careful whenever we are going to put a private key and never make it in public so we will not lose a coin. I have been trading on EtherDelta and I will tell you that the private key really works well and there is no problem when I try to access it.

delta is still safe (until now) we don't know in 1 or 2 months ahead, it is very easy for the delta team to take all investor funds.

Never share your private key with such websites. You don't know what will happen to these websites in future ( even now they are safe) You must be the only person that know your private key and you must be the only person who can control your coins.

hi

I used to trade in ehterdelta. This is my strategy, just in case. I have another wallet, with a small amount of ETH and the token that I want to trade. I need more ETH, I transfer from another account to my trade account. If I want to trade certain token, I do the same. I transfer certain quantity of token to my trade account.

I think that if you want to trade with Etherdelta, this is the best strategy.

If you don't wanna submit your private keys to etherdelta directly then i suggest you to use meta mask it is a chrome extension and you can log in to ether delta just by logging in to your meta mask account. i use it and it is safe.

EtherDelta is a trust site and your private key can be entrusted with them but preferable you create another account for use with EtherDelta this will limit any form of fear about losing your investment of course investors in this forum had attested to the fact that EtherDelta is secured and save.

You are not trusting anybody with your private key. Your private key is all yours. But in order for you to trade on dex, you must use your private key to interact with smart contract of your token. You can download chrome extension if you have security concerns.

As far as I know, your private keys does not leave your workstation. It is stored in your cache which etherdelta access. So, it is safe as long the coding does not change. I have been using etherdelta for quite some time now and so far I have not lose anything from my account. You can choose not to use etherdelta if you do not feel safe importing your private keys. There are lots of centralized exchanges out there you can use if you feel safer using them.

ED robbed me out of .6 ETH yesterday.  I sold some tokens and then had to run and left the ETH in the ED address instead of withdrawing back to my personal address.  Today I found that all of the transaction history is there but they jacked my .6 ETH from the sale.

All - be very careful to never leave eth or tokens in the ED address and always withdraw.

EtherDelta is generally safe, but the possibility still exists that there are exploitable bugs (or a backdoor) in the smart contract's code.

Me personally... I would only use an amount I was willing to lose on ED.

But then again Vitalik and company will probably fork and reverse the blockchain if ED defaults. Similar to how they did it with the DAO, and possibly now the Parity Wallet bug.

If you dont own your private keys then you are not the real owner of your currencies, exactly like your fiat in your bank.

Always choose to own your private keys over systems that keep it for you.

It is really hard to trust any site with private keys. I think its best to use just another temporary wallet for etherdelta, its going to be safe. You can than send your money to another wallet.

Exactly this

Ether  delta is the trading platform of myetherwallet. So you may trust on ether delta for entering private key. I am also using ether delta. One thing always remember always use private browsing.
