How much MASS is needed for a master node?

You don't, your MASS represents a pool of many different cryptocurrencies with multiple PoS and Masternode wallets in each, even having 1 MASS entitles you to stake your share of all of them. The more MASS you have the more staking weight you have when you are staking, and therefore more portion of the staking rewards.

this is the first time I ever deal with crypto and ICOs.

I have a few question, mainly due to lack of knowledge and the process.

I sent some ETH to the ICO address, the masspresale tokens show up in the ether wallet - that's good .

It was mentioned that once the ICO ends, the masspresale tokens will change to MASS and become available for trade.
This means that they will be on an exchange, and for them to be staked they have to be in a wallet.
There will be a MASS wallet or how that work if I want to buy more MASS and send from exchange to a wallet where they can be used?

I suppose the rest of the project is still in development and question suchs as "How much of my MASS is staked in which currency?"
and "Where can I see the returns made on staking and send that back to ETH wallet?" are for the time after ICO closes to a finish.


I guess the main question is: I got some masspresale tokens, what do I do now? Sit and wait until the ICO ends (well du'h) and have you guys finish up on the project so people have control of their MASS and further actions with it?

That is correct, but there doesn't need to be a special MASS wallet, it just needs to be any Ethereum wallet that is erc20 compliant, such as myetherwallet, parity, mist, etcetc.

Kind of, but 100% of it will be staked proportionately in the crypto currencies that MASS holds, although at the start it will be a bit slow as those cryptocurrencies are bought. As far as the returns you will be able to just view that right on the blockchain (although we will have a dashboard as well)

Yup, just sit and wait, once the ICO starts you will receive your proper MASS tokens, then when the ICO ends, you will be able to do whatever you want with them, stake them, hold them, or trade them.

if you do not see it you must add the token in mew, because it is not there yet...follow the instructions in faq to do it

The project seems interesting. But I wonder why there are so many Newbies in this thread, compared to people with higher rank. And some of them are eager to tell that they have just sent some ether in their first post ever... Any ideas?

I wonder as well tbh. We have been getting constant emails and msgs on telegram to the same effect actually. It might be because it is more of a 'pos/masternode' token geared towards ease of use? Trying to get a bit of a broader reach to coins they might not have been able to get cuz they wouldnt know how to stake etc. A lot of people have also said that it was their first ICO.

I'm seeing this trend rather broadly across ANNs these days.  Some (although I don't see it in this thread) are clearly shills and/or dupe accounts.  Many seem to be non-native English speakers.

I think it's really a result of the press crypto and Ether in particular has received in the past few months.  By reading the lack of broader understanding of many core crypto concepts amongst these newb posts (what a masternode is, how erc20 tokens function, how smart contracts work, etc..) it seems to me they're just new fish in the pond.

Have to agree on that, It's a simple concept to understand and very clearly explained. Aside from that, as most newbies are on youtube and they hear about ICOs and how profitable they are as they hit the exchanges, I dont find it too surprising for them to find something like this which has a similar use in stock portfolios that get a package of shares from companies that pay dividends (lol that is simply put to what actually goes on).

So just based on that -  easy to understand, simple to use, similar to real stock operation, potential jump in price increase as it hits the market, seems legit -  why not go in? To each their own deciding moment.
Not the same with Siacoin's Obelisk, they're like "yo we need a couple grand from you (pay in bitcoins obviously) and a year waiting time for the pimp-ass mining equipment to be delivered to you"

We (the entire team) have done the whole hardware mining 'thing'... we are too old for that , having to either take losses because of hardware costs, hardware depreciation, or to sell off and keep upgrading... With this way it gives good liquidity always and is simple.
