I really that death penalty is a good idea, making bad people think twice before committing crimes though for me I would rather see criminals rot in prison or perhaps if the government would allow it I want them to be tortured or be placed in mental hospital to make them suffer for their crimes specially for the rape cases or murder, the graver the crime is the heavier the punishment would be.

I agree with death penalty in a sense that what you sow it what you reap. If a person took someones else life as a criminal act, then his life should be as well taken. Evil doers will not be scared if there will be no severe penalty. It seems thats the only option we have.

I also want death penalty for heinous crimes. But in my country (Nepal), the death penalty was abolished way back in 1997. Ever since it was abolished, the number of violent crimes such as murder and home invasions have risen by manifold.

I personally strongly agree with the death penalty for perpetrators of criminal acts that are sadistic or in angap has a lot of harm to others to get the effect of the joy not to do so

i think god gives life and takes life.

The life of a human being is a one of the precious thing in earth because it was given by God, even some countries practise death penalty only God had right to get/takes it.

I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.

The death penalty is necessary precisely as an exceptional measure of punishment in the most exceptional cases, when another type of punishment simply does not justify itself when there is clear evidence of the commission of a crime.

31 states have the death penalty. there is a reason for that. if a man or women does not think about taking a life before they do so they missed their chance to make the best decision afforded them. its sad, but that's what it is. i have done some dumb stuff in my life. never been mad enough to kill, maybe to scrap. but that's it. Not kill.

No because only god can make a life so he is the one has the wright to claim it. If the man or woman have convected to thier sin the only the can do is a life time sentence.

I believe in the death penalty except for one reason.  That reason is that these sentences are carried out by governmental laws and processes.  Since no government is perfect I think there is a lot of room for mistakes, and that is what worries me about this process.

If death penalty will impose here our country i will support it, so that most of the criminal will be afraid to make the heneous crime. And it's safe to walk in our streets in night because the criminals are afraid to commit a crime.

I absolutely agree with the death penalty for certain types of acts, for example radical terrorism, drug dealers. it is almost impossible or difficult to radicalize and be proved after they are free, the same thing happens again.

The weight of the punishment should be corresponding to the crime committed. It should be fair enough that cases punishable by death must be solve carefully and a given time should be there to exhaust all means to solve it death penalty be gBut what if the person was just another victim wrongly accused? Would he die for a sin or crime not committed? This makes the whole idea to be so complicated. So I guess it is better to let him live so that he could be given the chance to change. For now I disagree.
