1. I give the source with everything ready to Hazard
2. Hazard mines 1.3k blocks, and distributes the source
3. I try to mine a new genesis block, but because I'm on a netbook I won't make the launch
4. I use a genesis block not matching the PoW, advice given by someone in the thread.
5. Future blocks cannot build upon this. Can't mine.

Look, you fucked up, but you're owning up to it. Your coin has a new idea and is important as such to determine its feasibility.

Get back in the saddle and get working version up when you can. Ignore the douchebags.

To those saying, "get everything ready before launch".. I have!

The problem is, someone leaked the source code so I had to redo it.

seriously... a netbook? is it also running windows vista and being run with a car battery? such a fail...

The elecoin developers can simply calm down and prepare for relaunch. For the relaunch, don't rush it and have all the important pieces ready at launch. Give yourselves time.

This coin has some good ideas in it. Don't give up.  Smiley

Ignore the negative comments... don't let it derail you.
Pick up the pieces... announce a new launch time... and let's go!

I will NEVER ask for any kind of funds up front in a buy/sale of anything on bitcointalk.

TLDR: Hazard sabotaged the release by somehow being trusted to compile Win QT and releasing code early, mining 1300 blocks and blaming OP. Then he tried to use the 'fail' to start his own coin (pretty pathetic, we know).

Man, it sucks what Hazard did to you and Elacoin.  I'll join your next launch if you relaunch it.

I think this will be a turning point in alt-coin creations, "the straw that broke the camel's back," if you will. Hopefully people's interest will be put back into Litecoin and Bitcoin now and their respective values can rise without being diluted by scam coins and noob coins.

The OP's github updated. Looks like he's trying to get someone to help him mine the genesis block. I don't know how to get cgminer to mine it, the getwork just says waiting for blocks...

edit: error: {"code":-10,"message":"Elacoin is downloading blocks..."}
