You will soon be able to purchase Worldcoin with a credit card (site is already live!)

Good news everyone! After rounds and rounds of working with a new start up.

You will soon be able to purchase Worldcoin with:

    Credit Card
    Paypal
    China Wire transfer
    HSBC Wire transfer
    SEPA
    International Wire Transfer

With trading pairs:

    EUR
    RUR
    CNY
    HKD
    USD

(and soon, JPY, AUD)

So far, only 5 Crypto Currencies are involved here. BTC, LTC, NMC, PPC and WDC. Smiley

This is pretty big, as this is what Moolah was kind of trying to do, and we basically just leapfrogged ahead. Smiley

Site is already live

https://hkcex.net/trading/fees

https://hkcex.net/trading/markets

There's clear potential that this will soon be one of our biggest exchanges. It already has a fairly large volume of trading with the other cryptocurrencies it supports.

The site has chosen HongKong as the operation Hub, as it is more protected from Western regulations, and Chinese mainland regulatory rules.

While this site is still very new, feel free to go there and figure things out yourself too.

Enjoy. Smiley

Nice to see WDC still alive, I hope it will stay even when there are less users compared to Bitcoin. The demand of altcoins will grow in the future and then it is nice to have a solid WDC as alternative.  Smiley

EDIT: Ok fair enough, sorry but I got burned big time on the whole Scharmbeck fiasco, frustration got the best of me.

strange a new account will know so much about the past.
can't help to make me think someone is making a new account to troll...

nonetheless, I want to address your concerns seriously, as I should.

I have answered them here.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=609805.0

HKCEX.net is NOT part of worldcoin, they are a NEW PLAYER into the cryptoworld.
and if you have read my talks with them, they have agreed to try to process all withdrawals tonight

please do inform us if that indeed happened.
if not, I can be the medium meanwhile kinks are being sort out.

AGAIN, I want to remind everyone to be vigil when spending money on the internet.
I adopt a 'be kind' attitude to new comers, in this case HKCEX.net, I will allow them to earn their trust if they are unfamilar.
but I agree, we need to be sure it is up to standard of everyone's expectation too.

so while Worldcoin is completely independent to this exchange, we will still like to make sure it works for every body.
please keep us updated, if there are things the Alliance can do for you, speak up, and we will help mediate if we can.

I too was surprised it takes 2 biz day to withdraw.
but at least their representative says all withdrawal will be processed soon, so I am allowing them to learn and improve.

let's all be vigil and help each other together.

What is this? ANOTHER Worldcoin related scam after Scharmbeck? Putting coins in is easy enough, but getting them out is impossible. NICE GOING WDC, I hope this fiasco will be the end of this scam ridden shitcoin Worldcoin is.

HKcex is new to the cryptocurrency game and I don't think they realize the expectation of avid crypto users is immediate withdrawal. They are more used to the banking world where holds on money for security or operational reasons, especially on new accounts is standard.

I have encountered other exchanges that do the same. I opened a new account on BTC-e to exchange some Altcoin to BTC and they would not process my withdrawals until the account was 3 days old. It was a major pain in the ass since I missed some other trading opportunities during that time period. Does that make BTC-e a scam?

On a more sarcastic note Since they support BTC, PPC, LTC, NMC also and most of the withdrawal complaints have been with LTC I guess this is just another one of those LTC scams! That dastardly scam ridden shitcoin at it again......

Don't worry.  I think everyone in the crypto world is allowed to be 'cautious' after incidents in MtGox.

I view is that the crypto-world is so distrusting, some new players are finding it less attractive for startups.
that is why I want to give positive feedback to any new players, hopefully they are in it for the Long run like Worldcoin, and will improve to meet crypto-world standard.

I do think in the end, 'auto-withdrawal' is a must.
else no one will feel safe to deposit large sum of money.
but I also find their conservative attitude 'reasonable', given they are new.

at least I can confirm my withdraw request was approved after 3 hours.

https://i.imgur.com/n4YLl0q.jpg

do please keep giving them feedback, hopefully we can groom up another important player.

again reminder, whenever we are dealing with money on the internet, always be careful, even with other exchanges, the safest wallet, is your own ONLY.
Worldcoin created Worldshield to protect people's transaction from attacks, but we cannot protect people from potential internet schemes. (which can always suddenly happen, anywhere.)

As a member of the Worldcoin Alliance, I want to remind everyone to always practice their own common sense, to see how much you should trust a site, etc.

for now, HKcex is in responsive communication with me, I have been asking them to read the forum here, and I think they are learning a lot too.
Time will tell everything. For now, I can say their potential is there.
credit card buying is POWERFUL.  the exchange functions is easy to use.
and they also have Paypal, Sepa and Western union. One won't get all these functions unless you register accounts with them.
So I see a lot of work done on their part, and will be 'odd', if it turns out they are in it for short term.

Lets all observe together. Smiley
I too, am learning. Time will tell.

Regretfully, it doesn't look good at all  Undecided

While I managed to escape from Mt.Gox only a few weeks before they went down, it seems they finally got me. Looking back, I cannot believe how careless I must have been to deposit 5.5BTC and 10kWDC. It was probably to the massive lack of sleep mixed with a couple of beers and a bottle vine.

I guess I was one of the first trolls who came across the news about HKCex collecting $25mio from investors in some Chinese blog and I didn't even wonder about the 8.88% or the BTC exchange rate way above other exchanges. To add some reasoning here,  I expected BTC/USD to skyrocket and thought they were just making proper incentives to take over a good chunk of the market. So, I came to the conclusion that as soon as traders were rushing into the new exchange the price then would quickly adjust somewhere between 470 and 500USD. After weeks of going sideways, I was just so convinced and excited that there finally might be some price movement due to HKCex stepping into the market (amonst many other indications), that I didn't see those huge red flags. Seriously, I am not a n000b, but feel free to call me a fool instead, if you like to call me names... But maybe some of you can even see how I got tarped.

As the price kept on stagnating at those insane prices - even after the news was finally around (approx. 6hrs after I deposited, sold, happy about a great deal) - and first reports about withdrawal issues were surfacing, I got suspicious. First, I assumed that time limitations were self-explanatory to prevent folks from taking bonus and insta-withdraw. But then their support told me otherwise. Ever since we have been in intense contact Wink

But hey, the presumption of innocence also applies to HKCex. Therefore, I have set them a deadline to process my withdrawal requests which is running out this afternoon. So from my perspective, it is still too early to call it a scam. But in case I don't get my crypto back real sooonish, I gonna provide hard evidence for some questionable business practices, to say the least. I took their website apart, did some research on their background and found amazing stuff you most likely didn't notice when scanning the content. With that said, let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

All the best... And don't get Cex'd!
