Ether is a rising altcoin and it have bright future but btc is most impotent currency of the cryptocurrency world. It it the first currency of cryptocurrency. I like both but I prefer BTC because it is the heart of cryptocurrency.

Unless the bitcoin transfer process is accelerated, unfortunately it will leave the place to Ethereum.

I would of course prefer bitcoins over ethereum any time as bitcoins are first of its kind and it a great investment with huge returns.Ethereum is a rising star but bitcoins will always stay at the top always as it price also suggest.But I do think that ethereum has potential to overcome bitcoins but only in future it stood no chance this decade or more.

For now I really do not know what is the difference between the two.But as early as this time I would choose btc.I think that btc has a higher value and is good to invest in.

I prefer BTC, Due to it's public image, the likelyhood of fast growth is high, also ETH is plagued with ERC-20 tokens that don't contribute a lot to Ethereum's financial growth

As a small time Newbie investor I can afford to buy an (1) ETC but not BTC as it needs more $.

ETH has functional advantages.
The flexibility of ETH usage & Ethereum smart contracts make a noticeable difference.
Though dynamics looks similar, as the developers, we prefer ETH.

I still prefer BTC rather than ETH because in our country, the only accredited coins as of today are only BTC, so if I wanted to convert it to cash, I can simply withdraw my BTC.
But ETH is good too, because of ETH we have so many ICO nowadays.

All things considered, I don't know ETH can be the following bitcoin. As should be obvious, the cost of Ethereum is truly fall since the last week, above all altcoins are going down however. In any case, just bitcoin that still had a decent value up until this point. I don't recognize what will occur after segwit done, yet I figure it will end up being a major history for cryptographic forms of money.

I like the fact that BTC is still pump and pump in the cryptocurrency in the market and BTC proved to be #1 . But I prefer to invest to ETH since this coin still have development and continously increasing their value and have a potential to outdo BTC in the future. |

In my own opinion I will go for BTC because it is proven and tested over time. BTC is accepted worldwide as mode of payments which I can't find it on ETH. Just like on our local exchange it does not accept ETH only BTC to convert into fiat or vise versa. ETH needs more time and updates to be able to compete with BTC. Few years ago BTC has already been caught the attention of the people arround the world than ETH. These two coins has different platforms with its I think different purposes too. ETH is dependent with the giant, not only ETH but most of the coins and tokens. If BTC's price goes down on lowest dip like $10 per coin then the possible thing to happen with altcoin is; It may still survive but price is lower than $1 or some of altcoins may die. But to be fair with ETH, I believe that ETH has potential like BTC too and will soon reach the surface of the moon. Anyways, ETH has unique platform so I know that crypto community has always there to support ETH and I am actually one of them. |

Ethereum has a lot more features and is very different from Bitcoin, but I still prefer Bitcoin. |

I prefer BTC to stay BTC and other coins like ETH to be what they will be. Each is different with different uses.
Different platform means different uses characteristics. I too, would prefer to use Bitcoin than Etherium though Etherium is widely and commonly used in some of the campaigns here. On top of that, Bitcoin is tested and is already stable which seems to stay for decades to come. |

i would still prefer bitcoins over etherium because bitcoin is the first and the father of all cryptocurrencies and also has the highest value of them all , also bitcoin has got many features and uses compared to etherium like it can be use to buy or sell stuff anonymously online/offline and most county today are legalizing it because they believe that it can make a country innovative due to its high tech properties. |

Of course BTC, as this is the first one I've ever known in digital cryptocurrency and it has already build its foundation and has gained a lot of attention from which it is said to be the most successful one in the digital cryptocurrency world. As for ETH, I think it is on its way to progress but not enough to surpass the current success that bitcoin is experiencing right now.
