I think both are good and a diverse investment is a good idea. BTC is obviously valued a lot higher right now compared to ETH, but it's impossible to tell how their values will compare in the future. I do however fear that the value of ETH could decline after ICOs have run their course.

I love them both.
Holding these two have always a sure profit so there's no way to choose.
Bitcoin price now is constantly increasing but I'm still hold it and wait for the hard fork so I can get an airdrop of bitcoin gold.
While eth now is in red so it's time to buy more.

What is the best coin now that exists? Its bitcoin,thats the first thing why should i prefer bitcoin, because it is the frontliner and the general coin used in the cryptocurrency, just like the US Dollars in currency, also the bitcoin in cryptocurrency. And now ethereum is rapidly increasing, but it will not be a threat to bitcoin. Bitcoin has achieved lot of things while ethereum is good but it is just starting.
i prefer bitcoin too easy to all easy to convert into cash so thats why i prefer it thats one of my reason but for the characteristic there is a lot of reason why i love bitcoin than ethereum. |

I prefer bitcoin because it is only the digital currency accepted in our local base platform to convert to cash so I prefer to earn it. Besides, most signature campaign in bitcoin pays weekly while in altcoin, there are few who pays weekly while most of them pays after 1-3 months which is quite long when you have urgent needs. I decided however to join signature campaign in altcoin now because I am quite busy and will not be able to fulfill the post required weekly in bitcoin signature campaigns.

I think the smart contract of Ethereum really good, it helps us solve many problems as want to create a crowdsale for your ICO project. In the past, when we still have not Ethereum and smart contract, create a large crowdsale and raised a huge funds is impossible. But after we use smart contract, let's see the ICO market, it increased many much. |

I'd rather side with ones, who prefer Bitcoin. Though of course I have to admit that ETHERIUM cryptocurrency is a really good alternative and should be considered as a good currency for diversification, however, only an alternative currency, which is really important to understanding that Bitcoin is probably the most important cryptocurrency in the world, which means that I'd rather hold BTC as it's considered to be the first. The other good reason (which has already been mentioned here) is the limited supply of Bitcoin, which in the long run makes BTC way more valuebale and cryptocurrency as ETH's supply is unlimited.
In conclusion, I would like to point out that both currencies are really valuable and have proved to be reliable and stable. That is why the final decision before you start investing is certainly after you as only you know which cryptocurrency will be better for you personally and will suite you in the most positive and efficient way.

Before I was also confused on what is ethereum but then i found out that this ethereum is different from bitcoin. Bitcoin was just a currency and ethereum was also a cryptocurrency but more focus on its technology. Between this two, i still prefer bitcoin because it was the first cryptocurrency and etherium become popular because of bitcoin.

People continue to confuse what ETH is. It's not a competitor to Bitcoin. ETH is a currency that represents processing power over the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum provides access to a blockchain for any sort of project one can think of (which is not possible on Bitcoin's blockchain). Ethereum is bringing the blockchain to businesses, governments, charities, start-ups, and fools who want to start ICOs (with no reason or purpose). ETH will launch, but for a much different reason that Bitcoin. Love'em both! YES^ This exactly. Still love ETH tho. BTC is king and ETH has more power with application. |

i think ETH is more innovative and you can use it for lots of different things. But BTC is here to stay and i don't think it will fall below ETH anytime soon. If it's about investing i would consider to hold positions of both currencies.

Ethereum is a decentralized platform for applications that run exactly as programmed without any chance of fraud, censorship or third-party interference.And some people think its price value is lower than bitcoin but this is actually a good thing for Eher investors who are looking for investing other than Bitcoin.The lower price of Ether might attract investors as there is more chance to go up in coming days.

You can always do both of them you can invest on both of them if you cannot decide. Bitcoins we all know that they are the king of cryptocurrency but they are too expensive to buy, and if you cannot afford that kind of value, probably go inveat to ethereum because their value is mot that expensive but have the same potential as the bitcoins. But it is just for me, it is up to you if you wanted to be believe me or not. For me ethereum will also rise just what bitcoins have done before. They are the king of the altcoins. |

It depends on the tasks. If you'd like to easily create smart contracts, Ethereum wins. In terms of reliability, Bitcoin is more applying. Both of them are solving the scalability problems at the moment. We'll see more strong players in the coming years for sure.

Bitcoin, the first virtual currency, born seven years back. It introduced a novel idea set out in a white paper by the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto,
and is operated by a decentralized authority, unlike government-issued currencies, There are no physical bitcoins, only balances kept on a public ledger in the cloud,and has triggered the launch of other virtual currencies collectively referred to as Altcoins.
In Ethereum the block time is set to 14 to 15 seconds compared to Bitcoins 10 minutes. This allows for faster transaction times. Ethereum does this by using the Ghost protocol.
Ethereum has a different method for costing transactions depending on their computational complexity, bandwidth use and storage needs. Bitcoin transactions compete equally with each other. This is called Gas in Ethereum and is limited per block whilst in Bitcoin, it is limited by the block size.
Ethereum discourages centralised pool mining through its Ghost protocol rewarding stale blocks. There is no advantage to being in a pool in terms of block propagation.
Ethereum uses a memory hard hashing algorithm called Ethash that mitigates against the use of ASICS and encourages decentralised mining by individuals using their GPU’s.
Bitcoin is the original cryptocurrency with the most liquidity and significant network effects. It also has brand name recognition around the world, with an eight-year track record.
This is challenge to decipher the differences between cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Ripple, and Dash.
