I did not have to uninstall my current driver.  I have updated from 16.9.1 and 17.7.2 so far with no issues on 2 machines.  Fixing to update an RX470 machine.  Will report back.

Did you download the driver from this thread or did you download 17.7.2 from elsewhere?

It works in rx480 nitro plus 8gb and in x580 nitro plus 8gb in these I have noticed that although the voltage lowered consumes  40-60w plus the rig with 6 gpu https://i.imgur.com/l2tFvdd.jpg

What setting in AB do you use?

Thanks.
On rx580:1150/2150
On rx480:1150/2080
Except for the graphic gpu 0 1130/2060

If I wear just like her sisters I have a fall of 6 mh /s

I have updated a 7 GPU RX470 machine.  The hashrate went from 187 to 197.  I installed it on another 6GPU RX470 machine, and the hashrate went from 155 to 166.  So far everything has gone without a hitch.

Dear friends, I would like to share with you fix for well known DAG problem on RX polaris graphics cards, taken from unofficial beta driver of AMD.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Download driver.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fknhmqdv0k5v3ic/Drivers_DAG_fix_BETA.zip?dl=0
or
https://ufile.io/hw70y

Install driver via Device manager, right click on your card and point to unpacked folder what you previously download from one of the links above.

2. Install well known patcher (atikmdag-patcher), link below.
https://www.monitortests.com/atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5.zip

3. Restart your RIG.

IMPORTANT: You must use Clymore's Dual latest version, at the moment v9.8. OC not working on AB(voltage and fan control only), but it is working via command -cclock / -mclock via Clymore's miner.

INFO:
I personally test on all RX models, from my experience RX470/480 no problem, but you need to control clocks via miner. I put this driver on really huge pool and what to tell you guys, hash result is awesome.
Tested on win10 on all rigs.

If you see this might helpful for you, donation are welcome:

Happy mining ! Smiley

i am really new in mining, what should i do with this
"Install driver via Device manager, right click on your card and point to unpacked folder what you previously download from one of the links above"

currently i run 6 GPU RX 470 with 16.9.2 driver. should i do on every GPU in device manager? or just one gpu is enough? and do i need to unninstall mu 16.9.2 driver first? thanks

Uninstall your current driver - use DDU
I just updated all my gpus via device manager.
Reboot system, run ati patcher, reboot gain and all was well. I use the Afterburner beta, works perfectly with this driver.

Thank you very much. do i need to use DDU in safe mode?

robin hood is here to ripp of your ass with backdored driver.

Why AMD did not post this before, instead of this you trust to some guy who uploads drivers to dropbox.

Why not direct link from AMD?
lol

I understand your opinion, I am OK with that, it is normal that people thinking like that, but let me tell you that I don't need to do this, but I did it, I want to help all the mining community.

Try it, if it is working for you maybe you can tell me just Thank You, or even sent me some donation.

Once again people, you don't need to use it, it is up to you, I use it on more then 600 gpu's, all of them are 470/480, working perfect for a week, you don't need to trust me, but as I can see there is more and more confirmation about this driver, it is working of course.

There is no link to official amd site.

Just gonna chime in on the driver.
I have one Strix RX480 8GB(Samsung) running with Uber 3.1 Timings @1180Mhz/2035MHz/0.963v on Win 10.
Before I switched the drivers I was getting 27.9Mh/s & after updating it's now at around 29.93Mh/s but there were some problems.
Before installing this driver make sure you're on 17.7.2 because older Crimson versions crash when trying to open Wattman (was using 17.6.2 and updated to the BETA driver) & ofc patching the driver if you're using modded BIOS.
For me voltage control/clocks are borked on WattTool (have to wait for AMD to release public SDK for the API to get it updated) and with MSI AB 4.4.0 @ BETA 16 I can only touch clocks but not voltages so I was only able to lower them using Wattman. Restarting Claymore also bumps up voltage again so I have to re-apply it through Wattman. Hope this helps someone.

http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5459908&postcount=637 MSI AB 4.4.0 BETA 16 just released if anyone wants to try.

P.S. If the drivers are fake he'd ask us to install them in Test mode since I doubt faking MS & AMD driver sigs on Win 10 works?

yup, wait for official. This drivers are total crap. It's true, you get 1mh more, but my system was so unstable, power consumption was higher and don't know what else.
More problems than good stuff from this drivers. I am back at 17.6.2

Can anyone here using this solution confirm one thing that I've noticed for awhile now?  I usually gauge my rig's performance by the # of shares submitted / hour.  It's usually a rough estimation after a couple of hours of mining and I notice often the highest hash rate doesn't necessarily correlate with share submit rate.  The pools I use usually are prop or PPLNS and really sharefinding is how we all find blocks.  The reading from claymore/ethminer is a just a spit out of the current calculation our gpu thinks it can do and reports to the pool that later on will make a judgement on.  I've done all the fine tuning on my cards to the point where I trim back the mem overclock just enough to not incur mem errors on HWIN64 and max out my share rate.  So my hash rate maybe a bit under avg yet my % for the block round is higher than expected.  Essentially i try to punch above my weight class.

So back to my orig question:  Have you guys noticed a commensurate increase in share sub/accept rate along with the uptick in 'reported' hash rate?  Because if it's all the same I'd rather not push my cards further if it doesn't actually give me any tangible benefit other than bragging rights.

Thanks

I agree, you are not script kiddie, you probably developed this good into driver, so you are good coder Wink
Nice work, but i still believe this is malware.
