i try Claymore 9.8 -cclock -mclock, this is not stable, the memory suddenly drop to 1000mhz from 2200mhz , and then back to 2200 for few sec then back to 1000
I have the same behaviour in Claymore 9.8, also power is not stable. If not using -cclock -mclock  I got stable 30.2MH/s for RX580 8GB and MSI Afterburned 4.4.0 beta 16 setup:
mV 970
core 1150
memclock 2150

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I was able to set the cclock and mclock in Claymore, but my voltage settings didn't have any effect. Therefore used AB instead, which can do for now.

Claymore as it stated, in his thread, those commands work only with 4xx series.

Finally got the new drivers working.

Installed the AMD beta driver and AB 4.4.0 beta 16.

My 7x470 went from (ETH/DCR) 175/4900 to 190/4700 after also changing -dcri.
Increase of 8.6% with no increase in power consumption.

are you talking about the AMD blockchain fix driver?.

Yes

Cool!.. on the other hand,

"This driver is provided as a beta level support driver which should be considered "as is" and will not be supported with further updates, upgrades or bug fixes."
does this mean that this is the final driver?...

RX 580
Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition Beta for [Suspicious link removed]pute
Claymore 9.8

works with Wattman 100% ? Also, is saving voltage settings ?

I have issues with 17.7.2, when devfee finished mining I lost my voltage settings and cards consume stock power...  Undecided and don't know if it's the driver or else.

well is intended for mining only, says "not for gaming" so really why need to update it if all it does it fix the dag memory issue for polaris cards? be the last driver most of us with 4x0/5x0 cards will need.

ill stick it on my win7 eth rig later today. thats got a 390, 2x470, 460 and 1070 on it currently with 16.11.3 driver for the amds. be interesting how it fairs in a mixed rig.

everyone crazy about higher power consumption on this driver, but it has nothing to do with the driver, it's that you can not change the voltage with the current overclocking software Smiley

heh.

no worries i do a complete disk image with macrium reflect free before doing things like this. if she takes a digger i just reimage back to what i had before. takes maybe 10 minutes to revert.

makes experiments like this almost fun..

How many watts are they pulling? i've got that same card and im getting 31.8 mh/s and 920 dcr at 2250 but problably consuming too much power, around 110 W on GPU-Z

so you guys suggest installing robinhood's driver?

I had major troubles with recent Radeon driver releases.
RX580 with patched Bios, no ati patch was needed so far

yesterday I tried to install 17.7.2, tried it several times, it always ended with error 1603 (mostly AMD settings failed, but after AMD DDU I was able to finish installing the driver with error 1603 still there, but no more error installing AMD settings)

today I tried to install the older but "better" blockchain beta driver without success. Again 1603 (again with no specific errors listed)
Windows Aero was gone (tastbar looked very plain)
"Radeon settings" did not start. Well it did, but the window was not visible, just a button in taskbar, but no window anywhere
Claymore 9.8 crashed immediately

so I went back to 17.7.2 (with error 1603) but at least Win7 looks normal, no flickering while mining and mining is possible.

I did not find any clear info if the amd/ati patcher is needed with this "new" beta driver. Do you rather suggest robinhood's driver in combination with a Bios patched RX580 (and if so: can you please direct me to it's install how-to?)
many thanks Smiley

some things never change... like people just don't want to read to get the info they need.
Oh yes, clocks can be changed, voltage can be changed.

Check the first post, if you follow it correctly, it just works, I have 3 rigs , 1 with rx470's and 2 with rx570's , from different vendors, they all work with undervolting, and are using around 850W each at the wall

This driver does not consume more watts, is all about setting it up right. Afterburner beta 16 works just right but you need to work your way through about learning on how to use it properly, afterburner has some bugs so beware that you need to make few adjustments for it to work properly if you really want what you really want.

Dear friends, I would like to share with you fix for well known DAG problem on RX polaris graphics cards, taken from unofficial beta driver of AMD.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Download driver.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fknhmqdv0k5v3ic/Drivers_DAG_fix_BETA.zip?dl=0
or
https://ufile.io/hw70y

Install driver via Device manager, right click on your card and point to unpacked folder what you previously download from one of the links above.

2. Install well known patcher (atikmdag-patcher), link below.
https://www.monitortests.com/atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5.zip

3. Restart your RIG.

IMPORTANT: You must use Clymore's Dual latest version, at the moment v9.8.
If you want to use AB for clock to then you must download and install latest beta 16 version, but first you need to uninstall version you are using, also delete all the files in ProgramFiles.
Tested, confirmed, AB 4.4.0 beta16 working fine.
http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5459908&postcount=637

INFO:
I personally test on all RX models, from my experience RX470/480 no problem. I put this driver on really huge pool and what to tell you guys, hash result is awesome.
Tested on win10 on all rigs.

If you see this might helpful for you, donation are welcome:

I have problems with 4x570 rigs on win 7. Power consumption is high, voltage control not working.

It says

I tend to disagree. Afterburner helps but results are not the same.

In my case it does take a lot more watts. Maybe it does depends on a specific card (Sapphire RX570 Pulse - 4GB hynix here).

Just to give some specific numbers, whole rig with 6 GPUs

Before:   183 MHs with 880 watts (-50 mV offset) LINUX

Now: 174 Mhs with 960 watts (also same offset), this is after tweaked with AF, without AF 1200 watts.

p.s. maybe there are farther tricks using AF, but it doesn't look like space technology, all you can do is moving slidebars (or I am wrong?). In my case only powertune and clocks are working.
