Wow, regardless of what others are saying about W7 being too old...well it is but that's besides the point.  Some of us have legit reasons as to why some of our systems are still W7, so relax.

Just to confirm though that even though I am forced to use W7 on one of my systems that I have been able to successfully hash at a pretty decent speed.

8GB 580
XHV @850H/s vs. 200H/s with the latest Adrenaline drivers
RVN @11.5MH/s vs. 9MH/s with the latest Adrenaline drivers

I'm still working on Phoenix with W7 to test my ETH speeds but for now I'm content with XHV.

I downloaded robinh00d's 7z files and extracted them which were actually version 22.19.659.1 drivers and the atikmdag-patcher as he described.

I then downloaded the AMD-Compute-Switcher and walla!

This has taken me a few weeks to figure this out and I know that W10 would have been far easier but that simply is not an option for this instance.

Now my mission is to figure out fan control as 68 degrees with only 34% fan speed is not good.  OverdriveNTool does not seem to work in W7 regardless of what version I attempt with whatever AMD driver versions.  However so far this is a step in the right direction.  Any suggestions on GPU fan control within W7 would be welcome.

Yes, use MSI Afterburner and it will work with setting the fan speeds and clock rates. If you need to undervolt then you need to use WattMan. I used this setup for years without issue.

I stopped using Win7 due to the 4GB dag not loading anymore but its still possible to mine with 8GB cards. I am curious why you are using "AMD Compute Switcher" when the robinhood drivers pretty much have the compute mode enabled, that's why those drivers were released.

With AMD drivers for Win7, none of them had the compute option unless it was Win10, so you were forced to use robinhood drivers. So with robinhood drivers you don't need the Compute switcher.

Try compute mode…my 570s are all still getting 30+ mhs on eth with no need for hacked drivers.  There is no need for a hacked up driver.

There is no compute mode option with the AMD drivers if he is using Windows 7. The option is there for Windows 10, however for Windows 7 AMD never included that option. If he wants to use RX series GPUs and Windows 7, he needs to use the robinh00d drivers.

My advice for the prior post is, you need to install some old AMD driver version from like 2016/2017, and then go to your display drivers and click on update driver and point to the robinh00d directory and it should install. Sometimes it freezes but 5-10 minutes later it should be installed.

You might need to do this for every GPU inside your system. However keep in mind that you got a max 4 GPU limit under Windows 7.

Little bit pointless but there is 6 gpu hack for Win7 https://lbr.id.lv/6xgpu_mod/

I would use win10 or linux

Install the Hive OS on the USB flash drive and configure the mining. At the same time, you will also check your video card.
I would figure out why you have errors in Windows 10.
If the video card is in good working order, then there should be no errors.
But for mining on Windows 10, I recommend using the 2019 version.

Some miracles happen to you. In one operating system, the video card is detected and in the other not. I have rarely seen this. Check the power supply, raiser and write your hardware configuration, because it is very difficult to be psychic.
For an AMD video card, you need to install drivers that will be newer than May 2020, because the problem of a 4 GB dag file is solved there.

I am confused you said it works on Win7 but not Win10 or do you mean other way around. If you want 30mhs with your RX 580 8gb you need to make sure you did the bios mod with the memory straps.

Then you need to install AMD drivers 16 or 17. After they are installed you use Robinhood drivers in device manager update driver option. Then when windows boots you will get that error and that is when you need the pixel patcher and it should work after that.

Make sure your clocks are correct, memory needs to be at least >1900mhz or higher. Core clock like 1100 or so. And you should get at least >25mhs.

And you must enable compute mode also to get the full speed for the rx570. Error 43 is pixelclockpatcher, you use it wrong i think. Use DDU to uninsall all driver, reboot, install newer driver 20.9.1 or something newer, use pixelclockpatcher -> reboot. Don´t use robinhood driver, i think it cannot handle this specific version of your rx580.
