I will try to make this short, cos nobody have time for boring posts.
Im daily trader, trading crypto since 2013. Probably used all exchanges, but never Bittrex( thats before Aug 1st)
I had accoount on Bittrex, not sure when i open it, but never got any funds.
Couple of weeks ago i got email from Bittrex with login information to my account from IP that i didnt recognized.
I didnt have 2fa enabled, so I clicked the link in my acc. and disable it. After that i enable 2fa, changed password and send
ticket to support and asked if there is anything else that i can do. No answer, but website states that account will be disabled for
at least 24hours after contacting support. Great, np, i had no funds, so OK. Life goes on.

Last week, fork was happening and since my funds were in Poloniex, and they didnt say anything about matching BTC with BCC,
I decided to transfer my funds, 2.77BTC, to Bittrex. And that's what i did.
Fork happened, got matched with 2.77BCC, and went out for biz(doesn't matter)
When i got back home, BTC-BCC trading already started, so i was pissed off that i didnt catch the wave from bottom,
but price was still great to buy, 0.12, with LOTS of volume. It was already late, so i decided to go all in with my funds and go to sleep.
I setup everything, went allin with 2.77BTC, clicked confirm, and guess what?Huh ACCOUNT DISABLED. WTF???
Than it hit me that couple of weeks ago i dissable it and its not enabled yet. FUCK. Whatever, i went to sleep.
When i wake up, BCC was 0.4, x3+ from my wanted trade. Fuck it, lost 6-7btc. At least i was left with 2.77BCC that i was matched.
I decided to sell them at $1000, setup everything, clicked confirm and yes, ACCOUNT DISABLED.
Account is still disabled, my funds are locked, support is not answering. I also tried contacting Richiela on Twitter, LinkedIn and its
same as support, NO ANSWER. For the past 5-6 days im writing to support and they are ignoring me.
If anybody have any info on how to contact Bittrex or how to resolve this, it would be much appreciated.

I'm on the same boat and I was also considering opening a thread here, but so far reports of this happening aren't all that widespread.

The difference is I've had my account for years, used them successfully in the past, always had 2FA and never had an email regarding any unauthorized login attempt. So I have no clue regarding what's happening.

The worst part of this is that now I can't even withdraw my funds, so they've basically taken my funds as a hostage... Let's see how this plays out.

PS: I've successfully managed to withdraw from falling exchanges in the past... So something's definitely wrong on Bittrex.

EDIT: other users with the same issue in recent times on the following threads:

Yeah, it sucks. In the first place, why would they give me deposit link if my account was disabled?
I could have gone with Kraken and have over 9BTC now.

In regards to your issue specifically, Kraken hasn't yet opened BCC deposits

Bittrex is now doubling their security after the fork ends. My account has been disable the withdrawal. I just create a support ticket regarding my problem and they give me an instruction to verify my account. Luckily, I managed to withdraw my balance. Just be patient because they are just updating their system due to the fork.

Why would they allow deposit on dissabled account?
Why they are not replaying to my ticket? I sent them couple of messages daily.

I was depositing BTC...

Oh, sorry, you're right, re-read your post...

Bittrex is now doubling their security after the fork ends. My account has been disable the withdrawal. I just create a support ticket regarding my problem and they give me an instruction to verify my account. Luckily, I managed to withdraw my balance. Just be patient because they are just updating their system due to the fork.

So just because a Bitcoin fork happened they stop people from trading and withdrawing whatever on their site?

I am verified. Updates aren't excuses. They have a status page where they list coins going through maintenance. If the issue is "system updates due to fork" they would just have to stop deposits/withdrawals and even have the market interrupted if needed.

I came to Bittrex because they were reliable to me in the past. I'm either having terrible luck, or they're just not reliable anymore.

Why would they allow deposit on dissabled account?
Why they are not replaying to my ticket? I sent them couple of messages daily.

They're not replying probably because they only "guarantee" a reply within 24 hours during business periods.

I've had my problem solved too, meanwhile. Apparently their FAQ isn't really all that well written and all accounts now require at least BOTH steps of basic verification, not only one, and legacy accounts included. Still really bad that they allow deposits when an account is locked and deny withdrawals.

seems that they're still holding all the MUE funds hostage even though the MUE devs fixed the fork issue previously.

I'm certain that they're running masternodes.

oh yeah bittrex is really making things harder and harder
I started using them like less than a month ago after poloniex stopped dealing with my country , used them just to buy clams since it's the only exchange left with good volume to buy and sell clams
before the fork I was able to withdraw more than 0.2 worth of btc a day  , don't know how much excatly cause I was newbie in the site and didn't know where to check their limits
after the fork I was trying to withdraw 40 clams and then kept getting the message that I reached the limits and I need to wait 24 hours or verify
asked one of my friends if this is an error and he told me where to check the limits and found that my new limits is 0.025 btc a day  Cheesy

so I tried to verify my account , their verification system based on info and mobile number failed so I tried to go for enhanced verification
but everytime I submit my passport and my photo their system refuse it and says that there are missing info in my documents which is not true at all all photos are complete and clear

tried to reach their support many times , I told them that I'm ok with verifying my account but I'm not able to so asked them if it's ok if they can verify it manually like I send them my photos through the ticket and they check it manually
I kept getting the same message over and over again , that they can't verify manually and that I need to verify through the system in their site
but all my trys were failures , so I gave up after they kept sending me the same message over and over again

they need to be more helpful for sure

I'm having the same issue. No response from support, and my funds are blocked.
I read that you need an invite to their slack channel since 2 weeks ago, and I can't join.

Huh shit. I had just done a trade and I'd better get the hell out of there. I don't even remember if I had anything else on there. Probably not, but still. I can't believe I didn't see all this news sooner. Hopefully they're just under pressure to close accounts due to fraud or some crap and not just closing them for strange unknown reasons like the articles say. I'm sure there's some sort of reason. Idk what it would be other than they're banning scammers and suspected scammers.
