oh yeah bittrex is really making things harder and harder
I started using them like less than a month ago after poloniex stopped dealing with my country , used them just to buy clams since it's the only exchange left with good volume to buy and sell clams
before the fork I was able to withdraw more than 0.2 worth of btc a day  , don't know how much excatly cause I was newbie in the site and didn't know where to check their limits
after the fork I was trying to withdraw 40 clams and then kept getting the message that I reached the limits and I need to wait 24 hours or verify
asked one of my friends if this is an error and he told me where to check the limits and found that my new limits is 0.025 btc a day  Cheesy

so I tried to verify my account , their verification system based on info and mobile number failed so I tried to go for enhanced verification
but everytime I submit my passport and my photo their system refuse it and says that there are missing info in my documents which is not true at all all photos are complete and clear

tried to reach their support many times , I told them that I'm ok with verifying my account but I'm not able to so asked them if it's ok if they can verify it manually like I send them my photos through the ticket and they check it manually
I kept getting the same message over and over again , that they can't verify manually and that I need to verify through the system in their site
but all my trys were failures , so I gave up after they kept sending me the same message over and over again

they need to be more helpful for sure

Likely if Polo wont take you as a customer Bittrex cannot either. Their system is nicely telling you to move on. Both are US based exchanges and have the same regulations.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

At least allow withdrawal, as long as no way to trade in US base exchange.

It would be illegal for them to do so. So they wont do it. They wont tell you they wont do it either because they can literally tell you nothing without also breaking the law. They will just keep denying and leading you on or block you outright. Sanctioned county person is bad money. It is seized and held forever.

Exactly!

Step by step, fraction by fraction, level by level in the most deepest fraud in the crypto ecosystem ever! The people behind Bittrex are the most sophisticated thieves in this market nowadays. They continuously and widely manipulate trading while taking position (using their own robots) against users (which is a serious crime by itself), they use deposited cryptos to run pump and dump scenarios and this way manipulate the market, and  since October they have managed for their most rude and cruel attack against their users with fake excuses about KYC by disabling thousands of accounts (blocking the owners right to withdraw) and scamming millions of dollars.

And yet, media and prominent and celebrity figures remain silent because they think it is not a crypto issue. They are wrong, exchanges are the main issue in the crypto ecosystem as long as btc/eth/zec/ ... are traded as a commodity and not used as a currency. Exchanges are the main concern and it is so disappointing that an unregulated, irresponsible con site which has stolen cryptos worth millions of dollars and do not bother to explain anything, is listed among the most active exchanges. It is a shame!

I have read posts in this forum trying to wash the face of these ugly scammers in Bittrex by making irrelevant excuses on behalf of them. They should better STFU. Holding people's funds in your pocket and saying "I want to know you as my customer, meanwhile I won't give your deposit back!" and keep saying this for almost 2 months, how can it be justified?

I checked those Ids, they seem to be bittrex dependents. First two publicly admit their role in Bittrex and the later is corrupted enough to be the CEO Grin

I completely agree. The experience of Tezos showed that now the transparency of ICO project can only be proved through audit reports. Smiley

Do you think that the ICO reputation of the project is not enough to assess the transparency of the project? Is it really necessary to audit?

It seems that their Slack is closed. At least I can't join.

Can pm me your email? I can send you an invite.

Same disabled account problem for me too. Nothing but automated emails from their support. Can you help me to join Slack?
Thanks!

I'm on the same boat and I was also considering opening a thread here, but so far reports of this happening aren't all that widespread.

The difference is I've had my account for years, used them successfully in the past, always had 2FA and never had an email regarding any unauthorized login attempt. So I have no clue regarding what's happening.

The worst part of this is that now I can't even withdraw my funds, so they've basically taken my funds as a hostage... Let's see how this plays out.

PS: I've successfully managed to withdraw from falling exchanges in the past... So something's definitely wrong on Bittrex.

EDIT: other users with the same issue in recent times on the following threads:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1663636.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1957588.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2053629.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954598.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2038169.0

Their thread on the forums can be found here

I'm in the same boat also. $5,300 for myself. My brother owns a Florida law firm and has offered, at no charge, to assist in arranging for a class-action lawsuit using a yet-to-be-determined lawyer in Bittrex's area -- Washington State. Anyone else interested? The longer we wait to act, the less chance that we get our coins back.
