Right.  Anybody can fire off the same tired "It's all random!" bullshit tripe which is technically true, but the point is that patterns do exist within the randomness and it's much more rewarding for me to play on guessing where those patterns will land, which has miraculously ended up working for me about 50% of the time, and I've got plenty of screen-caps to prove it.

I feel like the people who don't strategically play and just say "fuck it" with a straight shoot through the same boring sequences of bets are the ones who end up 20+ BTC in the hole.  Or not.  I just do what's fun for me, and high multipliers are certainly a lot more rewarding than low ones!

The thing about them is that you can only spot them after they happen, and they have no predictive power.

You can look at the clouds and say "that one looks like a dog", but you can't go on to justifiably say "therefore tomorrow there will be a cloud that looks like a big mac". Maybe you'll say it anyway, and maybe you'll be right, but the dog cloud had nothing to do with it.

Maybe you'll see the dog cloud followed by the big mac cloud a few times, and you'll start to believe in the predictive power of the dog cloud, but you would be fooling yourself.

Always excellent with the metaphors.    Remember I didn't say I was sentient and know where these patterns will happen.  I said I enjoy guessing where the patterns may land.  So far it's paid off.  I'm not like the dense 13 year olds around here who think they have it all figured out (thinking of that warfail post right now...).

Yeah, I get it. I've done the same kind of thing - bet low until I see a streak, then bet higher that the streak won't continue much longer... It's nonsense, but it feels like it works. In that case, where I'm waiting for specific conditions to start running a martingale sequence, it actually does kind of work, in that it slows me down and makes me play less martingale sequences per hour, which in turn means it takes longer for the inevitable bust sequence to show up. The downside of course is that it also slows my win rate proportionally (and so my expectation is still negative ... it's -1% of everything I risk, in fact, the same as for any other strategy).
