The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I think this list encourages fraud.

There are only two companies in your list that have actually shipped:

BlackArrow and BitFountain.

The others:

KNCMiner - science fiction story, they have not shipped anything they do not even have pictures of their products.
t13hydra, terrahash, ryepdx, burnin - rely on avalon ASICs which have not yet been produced.
Butterfly labs - have taken orders of millions of dollars, have not shipped in 1 year, most likely a fraud.

Our company has tried to purchase 30000 IC from Avalon. The law in China is to sign a contract to purchase the merchandise. We asked them for this and they gave us a bogus address in Beijing and confessed that they do not have a company. For this reason I would be very careful regarding the Avalon ASICs.

You're right, BlackArrow. I'm also concerned of Avalon chips actually shipping or not. I guess wi will find out soon enough. On the other hand, why don't you provide ASICs? I have found a book dated baxk to 2002 on how ro build ASICs for SHA-256 for security applications. If i would have a good supplier for the chips, i would shurely not provide group buy for some phantom chips tgat are not even in production yet. I know TSMC will provide them, but will Avalon forward them to us? Or at least order them... Let's do something here. What would it take to ahve asics? 6-7 months? What does it taje to build LTC asics? FPGA and a piece of DDR3 memory? Let's do it.

Thank you, FCTaiChi for the list. At least i know where i stand. I will also be providing lead time as soon as i have the Klondike final design and some money arrangements with the factory.

Regards, Steve

Can you please explain why BFL is on here, but BitSynCom with their shipping/shipped avalon products (63GHs and 85GHs) are not?

Thanks a lot!  I'll put their stats up asap.  I've mostly been working on the speculative ASIC's so far, I'm grateful for any tips on established companies.
BFL is here because they say they are shipping a product.  Same with KncMiner.  I plan on making it more clear on which companies have actually shipped products, how long it will take to get your return on investment (ROI), and how long it will take to get a product in your hands if you order as soon as possible.
Unfortunately we don't know if anyone in particular is lying.  I'm going to leave it up to the mods to give scammer tags before I start excluding anyone.

Do you think it would be fair to do a (soonest-never) type of column?  and what do you think would be fair?

I think it would be fair to let people know that these are not actual released products. They are only announced and not guaranteed that they will actually be on the market. As an example, there were a lot of ASIC announced here since last year ...

If we would like to get on top of your list we could just announce a 2 Terrahash rig...

We manufacture Bitcoin ASICs and Bitcoin mining equipment.

Okay, I remember this one.  Though they are shipping, and have shipped items, they haven't added any information on when they will be again.  Found the specs though.

haha oh man KNCMiner..
They're not taking money, so there is no danger in it at this point.  Smiley

Please note that "company" you are talking about developed the miner you are reselling. And technically speaking, chips have shipped in the form of Avalon miners.

I would separate the OP between FPGA and ASIC systems, add GHs/W, and add the following FPGA miners:

Avalon stated they have a 10 week lead time on their chips so I don't really get all the angst in these posts. I saw in another thread chip samples are due out at the end of May:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=210136.msg2207127#msg2207127

Personally I support the Avalon DIY people being on the list because at least they are working with a genuine ASIC chip. (It remains to be proven if they can turn them into working units though of course).

As for companies like KNCMiner tho, what a joke, no proof they even have a chip & even BFL, for all their shortcomings, have at least established proof of working prototype.
KNC say on their website:
" To alleviate some of these concerns we will not be taking any money from our customers until we have progressed much further down development path."
..so why bother putting them on the list at all?

Thanks, I have been looking for other FPGA systems.
-edit:  I can't find Mhash/s on the enterpoint site.
Do you suggest another thread to decrease tension, or because you feel it would be a more valid metric?  I realize they are quite different systems, but if you're pricing the ASICs that are actually available right now, they do seem comparable.  If the list were to be split would it make more sense to split to 'shipping product' vs 'not shipping product'?
I do like the idea of having everything in one spot, easy access.

I'll change Bitfountain to ASICMiner to reduce confusion.

So has the BitFountain's Blockerupter really been shipped yet?
I thought I saw people saying they received, but I can't find that now.  I'm going to move it back over to 'no' but if anyone can clarify this, I would love to know.

This:
Update

The mass production of Block Erupter USB is to be done today. Busy testing and packaging will start.

So it seems they are currently in production & as yet unshipped, unless there has been any subsequent announcement?

FCTaiChi, could I get the projected price on that spreadsheet image updated...? I asked about four hours after this went up. The price for the K64 should be around $356.

My estimation is with chips added.  Since I've added a column to signify whether buyer is bringing chips the data could be teased out of the chart, but still might cause confusion.

All of the sellers in your situation have chip cost added.

Why does it says that we're not shipping? We're working at our 4rd batch which ships next week.

Looked at your webpage today, says your out of stock, but I'll move you over to yes as this does look misleading.  What is your current lead time?
Webpage says another order will come in 7-10 days, and then another a couple weeks after.  Are all of those ordered?
