At least, we should make some noise on their forum about this. I have already joined the conversation there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2400499.msg25935141#msg25935141TokenPay has already collected 42 BTC in 6 hours for selling "their" coins for more than 2$ each. We could also go to their Twitter: https://twitter.com/tokenpayI am new here, so I don't really want to dictate what to do in the defense of SpectreCoin, but this really smells like injustice. Besides, I invested in SpectreCoin, and I believe it is in our interest to come up with this now. Later they could even use the argument against us that why we didn't say anything?

Add some nodes to spectrecoin.conf (make spectrecoin.conf first if you don't have one already: usually C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SpectreCoin in Windows; /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/SpectreCoin/spectrecoin.conf in Mac; home/<username>/.spectrecoin/spectrecoin.conf in Linux). You can find nodes at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xspec/#!network (click 'node list'). Pick whichever you like (or all of them). Or, paste in these nodes, all of which are currently on the newest wallet release: addnode=25nwxyoiy7j3tomg.onion addnode=4hpfcwkaobzjyuoh.onion addnode=55m7bjlrjgi3hxmw.onion addnode=6cak5pudkacxbqcm.onion addnode=7ba6qnjdeycxekpg.onion addnode=7t3ghc5q2qa674zl.onion addnode=a2kyltyakkbxne44.onion addnode=aafirzhx4lyl2xzs.onion addnode=dmn24eox72u3glu5.onion addnode=e4njt7pufgewvzjl.onion addnode=eapmu5vbskuup2an.onion addnode=ibfmp2ievabgyezt.onion addnode=ijqs5c5xva4k2wvl.onion addnode=immyfgvjsh26n77b.onion addnode=ka5inqv6cmupftoo.onion addnode=kyhd3a5lxdaq4tzy.onion addnode=lgqsk4rktgvm3uk3.onion addnode=luvv4kzetg53fgzq.onion addnode=pp75fz3gbxmhpsqb.onion addnode=qx62zrmkilsdrhnd.onion addnode=r3643o2n4jq3zui7.onion addnode=rkofhvamxuhwddki.onion addnode=tkw6bsf5yz7f4qcy.onion addnode=vtuxobbcqrzd7khq.onion addnode=w7nak266im22rtvz.onion addnode=wnihaxns7f3biukf.onion addnode=wsiaep2pkwmm7wa7.onion addnode=x5qxpak4424x5ecy.onion addnode=zf34lk4sirmkmfxh.onion addnode=zus5noyoukc6g4zg.onion Syncing will take a couple of hours (ish) once you're connected to the network.

I'm afraid, TokenPay will totally get away with this. Plus they will raise a lot of money. For me, the lesson to learn here is again the importance of marketing. If SpectreCoin was known to a wider public, they couldn't pull this off. Now they compare themselves to Bitcoin, Monero, Dash and ZCash. And it only occurs to very few that SpectreCoin is missing from the list. This seems to be the main problem for me. Being widely known would give us a protection from being copied so blatantly.

Contrary to what it seems, this favors the marketing of SpectreCoin. Our community feels the obligation to warn investors, about the high probability of buying a fraud, in the TokenPay ICO.

Contrary to what it seems, this favors the marketing of SpectreCoin. Our community feels the obligation to warn investors, about the high probability of buying a fraud, in the TokenPay ICO. I see what you say, but if they actually pursue their goals in their whitepaper and capitalize on what you have achieved, combined with their aggressive marketing, they may have an advantage in moving the same technology (invented/put together by SpectreCoin) towards mainstream adoption. By now, they have collected 13% of the market cap of XSPEC and not a day passed yet from their ICO. On the other hand, your reasoning may prevail if our community keeps up the pressure and keeps debunking this fraud on their Twitter and on their forum here on Bitcointalk as well, so that those who are interested in the technology can invest in the original and not in the copied version that costs 5 times the price and more. So I think it is crucial now that our community is actively protesting on their forums.https://twitter.com/tokenpayhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2400499.new#newAs I see, so far we are quite active there fortunately!

I interesting this is one of the best performing ICO ever and the project has failed to gain significant traction, I think what the project is lacking is a good marketing team to help drive the project forward

There is a lot of traction in this coin, planned developments to come in v1.4 (wallet upgrade) and v2.0 (default stealth addresses, stealth staking) and mobile staking.
