Maybe you should hold it within one month after the first ICO so that it costs at least can be just the moment when ICO. prices fell after ICO is indeed a reasonable thing because many who want to immediately sell.

Aragon, GNT, Gnosis, and other well funded and majorly hyped ICOs have all crashed the instant they become tradeable on exchanges. To clarify, I am not saying that these coins stay at price level <ICO, but merely that within the first few hours of public trading, their value decreases substantially. My only explanation is this: Demand is high pre ICO, supply is low (have to get in during tiny time window). When the coin hits exchanges, the valuation from hype has been solidified in ICO price, but the fundamentals stay the same (no new product, or revenue stream announcements etc). As a result, supply opens up relative to demand

Normal trend shows that good ico with working product will always go up at least by 2x after they get listed on exchanges even on decentralized ones like ether delta ...if they are getting listed on bigger exchanges them it may go up even further

Tokens price fall because after ico many airdrops and bounty tokens are sold by people. So big dumps happen.
It is big problem for us. If this problem will solve i think no more fall is happen again.

there is many coins that the price after listed in the exchange and the price is down
example SONM the ico price around 5k satoshi or more but now at 1.7k satoshi

ICO will be successful because of the investors.
Calm down even though trading on the stock at the very beginning fell below the price of ICO, after which will definitely recover.

Yes, @ayuwick, I totally agree with your opinion. Be a real investor and invest in genuine ICOs (the ICO that the dev wants to benefit from the success of the project, from long-term token growth rather than trying to mobilize as much from ICO)


The purchase price at the ICO stage will be the amount of dev received to deploy and develop the project. In the long term:
- If the project already has products, the results before ICO: the token price will be better than the ICO price
- If after the ICO, Dev continues to implement the technical and marketing project: the token price will increase
- If plans are committed and dev is completed on time: the token price will have to increase
In the case of the above conditions, the price does not increase, that is the opportunity for long-term investors.

It could just be the price of coins falling after ICO because many who sell their coins. Thus the price is down. to anticipate it then hold the coin and wait for the price to ride again.

It happens mostly in the ICO's when some unscrupulous investors sell their assets soon after ICO, this dump probably is the reason for making price of token down even below the ICO price. The price of token remains stable if investors keep holding and buying more.

One I know of and was not mentioned so far is WAX:

Pre-ICO price 3000 WAX per 1 ETH
ICO price 1500 WAX per 1 ETH

Today 1 ETH gets you 3400 WAX, a very good buy imo.

When you mean a failed ICO, then the tokens are not listed on the exchanges after they failed. The way you should understand is that this is an unsuccessful project.

Several factors which investors took their profits when tokens hits ICO prices on exchange and most of them are those who bought on pre-sale value which means they are still on profits even they would sell early on ico price and also we should mind on those bounty hunters too that do receive free tokens which most of them do really sell out fast for securing free money out of those free tokens.

at this bloodbath , it is normal .
also remember any ico does not promise that it will take you to moon on next day of ico end .
so give it time and it will be 2x from its ico price .
