most ICO's which are listing in this market go down near or below ico price. Many ICO's are delaying listing because of the current market climate which is a smart move. I'm hoping this will turn around once the market starts to rise in April as I've invested in a bunch of ICO's at the moment.
best to be picky atm and only go for ones which rate really high.

In most cases, the price of coins after the company will be less, but then they can fly up to heaven.
But again, there are not always cases when after the company the coin enters the market and costs much more, but this is a rarity

Have there been any tokens where the trading price on exchanges at the very start fell considerably below the ICO price and has not recovered?

that is very natural because many people try to sell their tokens, after some minutes the market decrease and also price, other reason for this decreasing in prices related into BTC. in some recent days, BTC is falling and this will affect the market

Anything can happen. Sometimes a token enters the stock exchange, then falls sharply in price and is at the bottom for a very long time. And then six months or a year later, it starts to grow rapidly. And sometimes it happens that the token enters the stock exchange, then falls and falls lower and lower and lower and does not grow and does not return to the price of the ICO.

Lately there are more and more such projects; more to say - many of them collected hardcap in 1 day (red energy, dadi) and still fall below the ICO level; that's terrifying.

For the last time most of tokens (no matter how good project is) got dumped even on exchanges like kucoin. A few of them were able to keep their price similar to ICO. Panic and greed cause this, no doubt.

Its just a normal thing, investors will dump the coins to drive the coins price down so that they can buy it cHeaper because they knew it has potential to grow up someday.

AdEx was -50% after ICO during some days. If project is interesting and good - token will grow up but you need to be patient and wait some time.

I think so brother,

I think ICO will be successful because investors, the more investors who invest their capital then the appeal of the project is good. Quiet even though stock trading initially dropped below the ICO price, after which it will surely recover with time.

When this topic was started, it was a special thing when ICO's got below ico value, but from my last 20 ico's it was more than 50% of them which did that. Some, like Sether and Ignite are real drama with only 10 to 15% of ico value left.. on the other hand, ICO's like SingularityNET (AGI) went x22... that kind of mooning coins make it up for the rest  Wink

Yes of course there are some, it depends on their project,
Mostly on their actual use-case,
Some ICO are just a money-grabber with lazy project, we may consider it as scam, even though they have a 'real-livinf' business, they don't really developing it,
Some ICO are real but if their project doesn't go well, then it's will dump

Normal thing since not all coins do have the same way on where their prices would go.There would be some coins mooning and some would dump out which is way lesser into their Ico price or even lower into their pre-sale value which I'm not really surprised on seeing out new coins which is to be listed into new exchanges having a lesser price. This is why when we do see opportunity on percentage profits then its wise to take out profits as soon as possible before other investors would able to do so.

As a rule, all new tokens after listing on the stock exchange are falling in price. Now, when the price of all the crypto currency is gradually decreasing, all new tokens also fall in value after they appear on the stock exchange. Usually it takes six to eight months for them to recover in price. However, this depends on the particular project.

with the current market situation seems most projects are not dropping below ICO prices, doesn't necessary mean that's how its always going to be, there was a period ICO were constantly beating ICO price upon launch, at the end of the day the project fundamentals, if solid and is backed by adoption it will more often than not apprecate in the long term

Almost all new tokens after the end of the ICO and listing them on the exchange are falling in price. This may be due to the fact that the very original value of the coin is too high for its team, but most of all, this is affected by the large offer for the sale of these coins. Many of the participants in the generosity campaign are trying to immediately sell on the market the tokens they received free of charge, perhaps in part, for various reasons, investors also do it. However, if the project is promising, then in a few months the situation with the price not only leveled, but also starts to grow. True, this process is greatly influenced by the general conditions of the crypto-currency market. Now almost all new tokens due to the general fall of the market immediately fall in price.

Keep in mind that even if it does not fall in ether, it falls in dollars, as ether is down.

So many are fixed in usdt and wait for the ether to go down in price together with alts, and then buy

Have there been any tokens where the trading price on exchanges at the very start fell considerably below the ICO price and has not recovered?

there is many coins that the price after listed in the exchange and the price is down
example SONM the ico price around 5k satoshi or more but now at 1.7k satoshi

Maybe the best decision is to buy after ICO!

If everyone buys after ICO, where will investors come from?
ICO will be successful because of the investors.
Calm down even though trading on the stock at the very beginning fell below the price of ICO, after which will definitely recover.
Like Monaco, etc. So have to be patient of course

You are absolutely correct. The ICO price drop isn't anything peculiar to cryptocurrency alone as you rightly said. There are instances where you gain a lot by participating in ICO than buying at the exchanges. All is left to market forces and most importantly the project.

There are some projects, especially the blockchain/infrastructure projects that hardly fall below ICO. That said, imho, ICO still remains a valuable entry point if one is here for the long term.

I invested in the XID (Air) ICO and the price dumped below the ICO price. I am still holding my coins, because the team ist very good and theyre getting listen on an exchange soon. My ICO price was 8500 sat and i bought some more coins ~5k at liquiexchange. I think i have a good entry now and we see a pump soon Smiley

I can't agree more with you especially in this ICO winter where market is considerably bearish. The winners are always the strong hands who would HODL for a while to reap all the good returns. I have more than two coins from ICO that dipped below the ICO price and bounced bank momentarily after major exchange listing.

Tbh, hodlers are winners in this rugged investment terrain. If one isn't in a hurry to dump, breaking even, at least, isn't far fetched.

There are a lot of such tokens, and it will be even more judging by the latest news. This is perfectly normal, considering how the market has been behaving lately. And of course a lot depends on the team, the product and other factors.
