Dear all,

we are now owning most of the hash at altminer.net. Cryptocurrencies are all about decentralization - which we really like to facilitate. To get an even distribution of the hash we have decided to increase our fees to 0.9% to motivate miners to switch to also mine at other pools. The same decision we took also for other altcoins were we own most of the hash.

We really thank you for all your trust - we are doing our very best to make miners happy and get a stable & secure pool. We think we are still competitve against the other pools - while not beeing greedy towards the miners.

If the hashrate splits we will decrease the fee again.

Best,
AltMiner.net

I remember in the early years of Monero, the biggest pool would reject new miners until their hash rate goes down to a certain level. This was done to force miners to mine in other pools to distribute the hash.

not sure if truly a position to help decentralization of the network, or just making more money while using this as excuse

Nice hash is killing this coin ! Well it's killing the miners.
Nice hash port needs closing to make this fair, it's about time nice hash had it's arsed kicked.
As it's already been stated, nice hash comes in when difficulty is low then jumps out to repeat the same process around every 10 to 20 minutes

And it's very, very, very important to do this when we're all talking about decentralized currencies network.

Resync & reindex and you will be good. Before restarting the MN, you can delete the contents of the "/blocks" and "/chainstate" folders to manually clear the stored data.

Hello

Having an issue with Altminer.net and wanted to see if I am the only one.  Over the past 24 hours, my hashes were not being recorded via their system even though my systems were/are working.  The quick fix was to move to a different pool for about 10 minutes then move back.   You can see the drop point via the graphics, lost about 6 hours before I noticed when I woke up today! :

https://altminer.net/?address=VYZyL3D8Y7dW4i4nNGHfNDRne9wf5soFaC

It just happens again and moving around fixed the issue, WTF?

Looks like you had connection issues - can you please check that your miners do auto reconnect?

Apparently there is some form of chainsplit which causes a few MNs to drop off due to being on the wrong chain. Let's hope this sorts itself out or the devs can get us an update.

EDIT: Issue resolved in my case with a regular reindex Smiley

One of the pools was on the wrong chain and it was being mined. They sorted it out by simply restarting and resyncing.

Not all masternodes have been affected. In case your block height doesn't correspond to the explorer (check with ./vivo-cli getinfo): Restart your masternode wallet with -reindex.

1, Stop MN (,/vivo-cli stop).
2. Clear stored data. (delete the contents of "blocks" and "chainstate" folders)
3. Restart MN (./vivod -daemon -reindex)

On linux wallet....where do i find the /blocks /chainstate folders?

Thx

In the main root folder, where the vivod and vivo-cli files are located.
