I think the price of this token should grow during these few weeks. MVP is scheduled for the end of this month, and I think that the team by this time will have to increase advertising. If neither the price nor the volumes on the market change, need to sell the token and forget about the project.
But price could fall due to many reasons. If BTC and ETH price decreased, it is predictable that other coins, especially tokens, will follow to decrease USD-wise.
I agree. But if there is no marketing and a new exchange, I'm not sure that the token will grow in price even after the release of MVP.
Airdrop is a kind of marketing, isn't is?

I'm sure there should be a big background job that we cant see, meetings, communication etc.
The new exchanges today is just a question of money, but project need to have at least MVP to come out to new bigger exchanges. Otherwise it would be just useless expenses.
The more important thing IMO is to achieve some kind of partnership with any real trade community, even small or local, that will agree to use or test SOMA tokens and software.
That would be a real breakthrough, I think. I'm saying it based at my own experience of software development and promotion.
