Of course, because we live in the digital age, universal globalization leads to the formation of a single over the money system. No state, will not control digital money. Free movement of capital is a pledge of rapid development of crypto currencies.

Already now the majority of payments is made non-cash payment. Full transition from fiat to cryptocurrency looks natural.

I think crypto currencies can not replace fiat money because the new NFC technology has already made fiat money digital)

I'm sure that someday digital currency will repay paper money, the current sign is clear because we hardly see people fill their wallets or purses with paper money but they use ATM cards or credit cards making it more practical.

Society is already abandoning paper money..

Not for crypto, but credit card and debit card usage is becoming more and more common.

yes I think digital money will replace paper money. now it's a lot of digital money enthusiasts to make the transaction easier. this is progress, we must support for the future of digital currency used for payment is approved throughout the world. but there maybe still many countries that will retain paper money for payment instruments in their country.

No. As long as traditional markets still exist, digital money will not replace paper money. Because basically, not everyone knows cryptocurrency. And also not all countries legalize cryptocurrency.

This could be possible in the next good years because the system it's much more better than the system of paper money. Sure , the blockchain is not perfectly at the moment but with the coming years the evolution will increase for sure.

As of now, we cannot say that bitcoin can easily replace or ever replace the paper money because if we will look at the governments in different countries, we can say that they are not welcoming the cryptocurrencies right now, maybe because they didn't fully understand what are the purposes of the cryptocurrencies so i think that the cryptos still need a lot of time before talking about replacing the paper money.

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink

I don't think so, we will have both physical and digital currency in the future but not a replacement

I agree, physical money would not be replace but can add digital currency, i dont even like the digital money coz other people dont know how to use it, even beggar dont know about digital currency. Im more on physical money because of its easy to use and to pay, just get on your pocket and thats it.

Paper money has gradually been replaced with a more practical and convenient use of debit and credit and cash cards. Paper money is really obsolete. It should have been replaced long time before. This is a more modern world and we can easily survive without paper money. Well, we are turning into a cashless society. As you have said, you were able to survive in the past 8 years without ever using paper money. That is a proof that it can be implemented. However, digital currency will take time before fully replacing the fiat system. This is a different issue already.

No, I can't even imagine that cash will be no longer used.  I think cash will still be used by many people since it is somewhat more secured because it is supported by the government.

I think the digital currency will still evolve and will continue to grow and help a lot of people but it will never replace the paper money or fiat. I think it is possible but it is very unlikely to happen anytime soon. Not all people are into technology, no government of any nation will allow digital currency abolish their own national currency. Digital currency is already a part of our lives, it helps us in many ways but it is still best if it will just work hand in hand with our paper money, they can just co-exist or better, work together for a better future of all.

There is a misconception here. Bitcoin is not here to REPLACE fiat. On the contrary, it is here to complement and offer a secured means of transactions. Today we still spend coins even though we now have credit cards..... See the big picture

I don't think so, because not all people knows how to use internet and even not all places have access to internet. Crypto will not replace fiat, it has its own path. Digital currency provides opportunity and advantages compare to fiat. But we cannot deny that using fiat provides lots of advantages as well. It depends to which transaction we will do. Therefore, replacing fiat totally will not happen at least in 100 years.

I don't think digital currency can replace paper money, but it can be use as a vice versa for payment or buying stuffs.
