My favorite altcoins are Litecoin, Monero and ETH. I choose these three because of their rate of growth. ETH's market cap is more than half of Bitcoin, and is still increasing. Monero and Litecoin are known to its good blockchain technology. And I think these three are next in BTC in terms of the most popular cryptocurrency and also with the biggest community. There are some new altcoins that are already making their names such as dash, bcc and the likes.

I agree with these picks. I see Litecoin as the obvious alternative for investors who feel priced out of bitcoin. I would not be shocked if in a few years a single Litecoin is worth hundreds of dollars.

For me, my favorite altcoins is BTC and ETH . I have only 2 favorite cause im new to this altcoin. But i heard about other altcoins such as BCC , BITTREX, EVEREX ,LITECOIN,DOGECOIN and etc. If i gain more experience in this altcoin world maybe i will have a lot of favorites like others. For me, Etherium, Litecoin, and Monero are the best three altcoins because these three has a good blockchain technology, they are also popular that makes each of its xommunity larger. And community of a crypto is important because it provides the demand for a certain coin, and since crypto are dependendent of the market demand in terms of its market value, a crypto community is surely important. And remember, the factor that made Bitcoin to be the no.1 crypto for a long period of time is its large community.

  my only real favorite coin is 2. Ethereum and Riplle. I love Eth and Xrp because they are quite stable and strong and have a good future. but if I have to choose my 3rd coin, then it looks like I will choose BAT.

An interesting question. Currently, I see a lot of types of altcoins appear on the market, they also have the potential and gradually become profitable investments after Bitcoin. My first favorite altcoin was Ethereum, it was definitely. Ethereum is not just the name of an algorithmic currency; it is precisely the international network of connected computers. Copper Ether is present in the form of computer code and has a separate Blockchain-based hierarchy, so we can do more with it. Besides Bitcoin, Dash and Ripple are my choices, they are very good altcoin, very potential in value.

The three altcoins I have are ETH, LTC and the last but not the least is DOGE. ETH has features of smart contract functionality which I like most. LTC adopted SegWit, the Lightning Network and is nearly identical to Bitcoin. It also has some technical improvements over Bitcoin. When it comes to DOGE there is nothing special with the coin but it is one of those undervalued coins and according to the DOGE community it is scheduled to reach the Moon's surface in 2019 so watch out! Actually, every investors has its own basis and perception on the altcoin when investing and we have different kind of methods and strategies so its up to you how you deal with it.

It was indeed created as a joke by some imageboard community but the power of internet memes shouldn't be underestimated. I wouldn't put it in my top 3 and not even in my top 10, but DOGE is a coin with a community backing it, and they have (and still are) producing several initiatives, mostly charitable activties, to promote it. I wouldn't be surprised if, at one stage, DOGE starts having an actual use. As I said not my favourite coin, but if it drops much getting closer to the 25th October (bitcoin fork) as I expect, I might open a small-medium sized position in it.

I would take no advice from anyone who lists BTC as an altcoin.  If someone doesn't understand what "alt" means, I would assume their rationale for listing certain altcoins may also be suspect.

My interest is in using coins to make coin, so they should have an intrinsic value that makes them as close to tangible as you can get in the crypto world.
ETH - Technologically speaking, ETH has great potential.  Financially speaking, ETH should be around for a long time, and as long as it is, should steadily increase in value.  I anticipate it following in BTCs footsteps, but for very different reasons.
