Just curious..shouldnt this coin be closer to the price of monero classic and monero original? Is the only reason those two are high because they are simply a monero fork and masari is based on monero?

How to do this?

I also encountered this. First, backup your files in folder C:\ProgramData\masari. Backup also your wallet folder containing your wallet file and wallet keys. Download the masari-win-x64-v0.2.0.0 and extract to a folder. Delete the contents of C:\ProgramData\masari. Run masariid.exe and check if you can sync with the network. If you successfully sync, copy your wallet file and keys to the masari-win-x64-v0.2.0.0 folder and start your wallet.

Masari had its own genesis and it's own chain. Masari is not an old Monero blockchain shitcoin like Monero Classic and Monero Original Definitely cannot treat Masari as one of them.

Monero Classic and Original only exist because of the asic shit-wave and driving the cost on Monero's name alone and are heavily centralised.

Hopefully now Masari is finally getting some awareness and interest, it will (hopefully) have a nice organic increase in price after the fork.

Yesterday we had the dumbest seller on tradeogre. Today enter what appears to be the dumbest bot. Desperately trying to paint the market history red with tons of 1 MSR sells and trying to hide the large bids by filling the book with tons of 1 MSR bids.

Hint: If you want to push the market to either side, you need a ton of liquidity in both MSR and BTC. Not shitty 1 MSR orders.

I think it will start climbing to their prices once the fork is complete and there is no longer an ASIC threat. MSR isn't on the same level as those two - I think it is better. There is more innovation.

Same here. Masari should be 1/10 Monero's price. Like bitcoin/litecoin, if not to say, Masari is far better than just a clone. We'll see in the future.

Well, despite of the commonly used term "Litecoin of Monero", we cannot forget that Masari aims to provide some improvements over Monero, some of them already implemented, like the fixed default Ring CT size of 13 and a better Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm, and some others to come, as already spoken and pointed on the official page roadmap.

"Production capacity" will be the same as with ASICs. The same amount of coins will be mined every day since it is enforced by the DAA, no matter how much hashrate is thrown at it.

I think you are very optimistic if you believe that one GPU will mine 10-20 MSR after the May 1st HF. That's not going to happen. I guess one GPU will mine less than 1 MSR per day. There is an abundance of GPUs out there which will start mining MSR as soon as it becomes profitable again. Orders of magnitude more GPUs than those which mined Masari previously. Hashrate follows price.

EDIT: I also want to use this opportunity to thank those who are selling me their MSR for 15-16k on TradeOgre. I sold appr. 25% of my stash from 20k to 22k (to lower my exposure) and I am happily buying back all of them now at a 25% discount. Keep them coming!
